It took me some time to get used to the unit and the sheer range of optical magnifications that it offers. Now I have been using it for a specific project for a couple of weeks I have found it invaluable for improving the quality of fine detail on the figures I am painting.Tip 1 - read the instructions before using it. Sounds obvious but initially I was cursing it because the head band was slipping after I had rotated the knob to tighten the unit on my head. A simple push locks it and a pull allows it to be adjusted again.Tip 2 - I found the double flippable lens system really useful. Looking through one lens to do the majority of the painting and then flipping the second lens down to provide additional magnification for the super fine work.I mainly used the unit in good lighting but on inserting batteries the light was pretty effective. It would have been nice to have used AAA batteries rather than AA to reduce size and weight but it is still fine to use.Overall - excellent product, which I only wish I had got hold of years ago!

I recently had cause to do some soldering and was concerned that, even with my glasses on, I could not see the tiny connections well enough. I ordered these to see if they would improve the situation but not really expecting much but I was wrong, these things are are brilliant. So far I have only used the default lenses because they are so good I have had no need to try the others, the difference is incredible. A world I thought was lost to me has been re-opened! Aside from the optical ability they are also comfortable to wear and very adjustable for various angles of use and the light provides excellent illumination where needed. In case you haven't guessed - I am very happy with my purchase!

Very good for the money. I don't know why most of this type of headband designers think that we are all right eyed...I'm not so drilled a 2.5 mm hole on the left and fitted the folding loupe to the left side and I think that should have been done at the factory so that it could be fitted either side. Apart from that 2 min job this thing is very nice to use and the great thing for me is that you use it over your normal glasses with no problems unlike others I have tried.The light is helpful but is quite heavy with 3 AA batteries fitted but it's removable when you don't need it.I would recommend this product.

Starting with the positives, the light works nicely and is packaged well.That's where it ends, the item is absolutely useless, not worth the box it's in. Like a child's toy in the £1 box at a car boot sale. The magnification is almost non existent and I had to get so close to the item I was working on, the lens touched it. If you move even more than a fingers' width away from the item the focus goes completely out.What a piece of trash. Packaged back in box after a few hours of trying and faffing about, then returned.

This headset is sturdy, nicely finished and very versatile. The headband is comfortable, easy to adjust and feels secure, it is a sensible weight even with the batteries installed. I have worn the headset for three hours doing some art work without a problem.The optics are clear and there is no evidence of chromatic aberration (aka 'fringing') and there are a good range of magnification options.I consider it value for money and worth buying.

Comfortable, fairly easy to adjust (though the light goes out if the lamp cartridge gets bumped to the rest position inadvertently.BUT I cannot use the small x8 loupe because it is on the right side and I have a problem with my right eye. There is no option to change the mounting to the left; this seems a snag with all the competitor versions.Would get full marks if there had been an alternative mount on the left. - I can’t see that this would present any difficulty in a minor re-design of the moulding.

The headband illuminated magnifier viewer is an excellent product. I use it to view art paintings. The only improvement that could be made would be if the supplementary magnifier lens could have the facility to also moumt on the other side of the headband viewer as I have a weak right eye and the magnifier does not extend across to cover my left eye. However I do not need to use the supplementary magnifier as the main lens combination magnification is more than I need anyway. Fast delivery, well packaged and excellent communication.

Excellent value for money. The adjustable clasp occasionally causes an issue (tightening on one side rather than both) however for close work, soldering, building PCs, connecting joints etc, this is excellent. I don't tend to use anything more than 1.5 magnification as the focal range means that picking up items from the table can get interesting.
