Think Tank Emergency Rain Cover for DSLR and Mirrorless Cameras with 24-70mm Lens - Small (Black)

I ordered the smallest version since I have a mirrorless camera. (Fuji XT-3) I've only tried the fit so this review is based on that only and not how it works in the field, although I expect it will work just fine. I tried it with my 18 to 55 and 100 to 400 zooms and both worked just fine. The 100 to 400 was pretty much the max for the small cover. (when zoomed out to 400) I like the hot shoe tab that keeps the cover from moving around. It appears that there's plenty of room to get a hand on the lens to zoom and change the F stop. My main camera pack is made by Think Tank and I've been very happy with the quality of their products.

Works pretty well albeit a bit too big for my Sony a6300 with smaller lenses. But it kept my camera completely dry shooting in the rain - which was terrific. The plastic screen shows the LCD fine. One advantage - for street photography - to the extra fabric was that the cover disguised the camera by looking like an umbrella that is half-opened. It certainly doesn’t look like a camera.

I find the plastic sleeves to be a bit tight and I wanted something better. I have no doubt the full blown ThinkTank covers are good but I just don't need a rain cover that much. When they announced this one, the price for the small was cheap enough to warrant giving it a go. Not disappointed at all! It's compact (I have the small for my Fuji kit.) and fits over any of my cameras and lenses combos. The window is good and the flexibility of options for positioning the cover is great. They really thought this one out well.

YMMV but I found this rain cover to work just fine on my 70-200 f4. The covers seem to be oversized but it's better for them to be too large than too small. Well make and I really like the cold shoe attachment.

I purchased this as a replacement for the first one as that one was way too large. Surprised that this fit my Canon R5 with 70-300mm IS EOS lens plus the adapter for R-series. Used it at Niagra Falls, and had no issues with it. May try it with the Tamron 150-600mm lens on same camera next time, see if it works for that as well. Says small, but to me it is NOT small.

one day in the rain with this cover and camera doesnt work dont trust it to protect your camera from rain. i can understand some moister seeping in where my hands would go but the lense was completely doused as well.

It was way too big for the Sony RX10 IV. When the lens retracted, the fabric got caught and the lens made a clicking noise. I just hope no permanent damage has been done to my camera. The back end of rhe cover is great. The lens end is huge in diameter and length. They need to make an extra small version.

Ok you can just stuff your camera in a plastic bag with a hole cut into it ... and for the number of times I'm out in a downpour taking images many people would say that would do the job. However having twice had my "waterproof" lens and camera glitch out in a downpour (and thankfully revive after being given time to dry) I decided I preferred to be a bit safer. This is a lot sturdier than a plastic bag and more conveniently shaped. It has an attachment to fit on the flash holder on top of your camera which stops it sliding around. I found that an immediate advantage over the plastic bag approach. It has adjustable straps to tighten around the end of your zoom lens and stretched the length of the lens. Another immediate advantage It has a slightly harder plastic viewing area so you can if you wish see the screen/viewfinder through the rain cover. It seems robust and comes / packs away into a small pouch that fits in my camera bag. Will being stored packed leave creases in the plastic that degrade performance? Will the plastic deteriorate over time? I don't know yet but my guess looking at it is 'not too badly'. It's a matter of personal preference. I feel it worth the money even for the small number of times I've used it so far. You may, or may not. I can't compare against other products that do the same thing, I've not tried them... but this one does the job well enough. Only negative I can think of, I chose the small size and even that feels a tad larger than ideal ... but its not a problem

Bei der Bestellung war ich unsicher bzgl. der benötigten Größe um eine ausgewachsene Vollformat-DLSR nebst lichtstarken Zoomobjektiven (11-24, 24-70, 70-200) vor Regen zu schützen. Ich habe mich dann aufgrund des meistens verwendeten 24-70 für die Small Version entscheiden. Zu meiner Überraschung passt der Regenschutz für alle 3 Objektive, sowohl für die kurze Brennweite mit großem Durchmesser, als auch für die Länge des Tele, wobei dann nicht mehr übermäßig viel Spiel ist.

Brilliant. I used it during a downpour and not once did I worry about water getting into my very expensive gear. This fits my Sony A1 and 24-70 and also just about fits onto my 70-200. Recommended

The Think Tank 6180 Photo Emergency Rain Shield lets you take photos when you otherwise would have to stay indoors. The rain shield may seem like overkill until you really need it. This is a great alternative to purchasing a weather proof camera. I haven't tried using this product in very cold temperatures yet.
