Excellent replacement for my decades-old Kenmore Progressive vacuum. The newer Kenmore 400-Series vacuum is also a high-quality vacuum, closely styled to the Progressive model we love so much. The smaller triangular floor attachment of that newer Kenmore model is OK, but not as good. So we got this twin-pack floor attachment for both of those vacuums, which use the same factory-made side hole. I believe that second hole on top of the collar was drilled after factory production to allow attachment accommodation with other Kenmore models with the hole needing to be at the top instead of the side. This explains why some reviewers say they have a hard time pressing the release button on those models. This is because the floor attachment guard collar hole region was not ground down/beveled a bit for easy button access, like the side hole was. It's not a deal-breaker for me. In fact, I'm impressed with how well-made these floor attachments are, right down to the horse-hair bristles.

Brushes were compatible with Kenmore cannister wand and worked well. The mating angle of the brush neck with the wand axis is a bit off such that the resulting profile is lower than normal (i.e. more horizontal), but this is a small ergonomic issue and doesn't affect function.
