I always carry this in my headphone bag for flights. It baffles me why airlines are still using these split connectors on newer airplanes but here we are

Great adapter for headsets

I travelled with a few different airlines that still use this plug type. Some of them you are able to plug in a regular pair of headphones anyway but I found this to be very useful still too. It doesn’t deteriorate the sound at all from what I can tell and is well built. It doesn’t come unplugged by itself like some other brands I’ve seen that seem to just fall out of the port. It handled two 10+ hour flights with ease. It’s a great value too since it comes with two of them for a cheap price.

This works great on those weird old airplanes with the two prong receiver. Very easy to lose, be careful!

We just returned from a trip to Europe via Lufthansa. These allowed my wife and I to use our personal wired headsets (that are MUCH more comfortable with better sound quality!) to watch movies on the plane with good sound blocking. Please note: you may have to "flip" the connector if you don't have sound in one ear. There isn't a specific left/right that I could find. Be sure to have a power cord on long flights that has a USB "A" connector on one end so that you can charge your device by plugging into the infotainment system; there may not be a 110/220 plug at your seat!

Not much to go wrong with this adapter if it fits. In my recent case on a United Airlines Boeing 767-300, it did not fit. I can't fault the seller for not attempting to list all the compatible audio jacks for all the different aircraft/carriers/audio systems in use across the planet. Would be impossible. Even the same airline/aircraft variant could be fitted differently. I'll still carry this adapter and maybe look for other pin configurations. Our recent experience required two pins of different lengths and possibly diameters.

Will put it to good use on my next trip.
