Not super flexible like rubber but not brittle and easily broken. We bought them for my daughters to use during soccer, volleyball, etc...

can you glue rhinestones on to the plastic retainer part?

I haven't tried to but I could see that you can. There's a little dimple in the front that could be a good place to affix a rhinestone.

can these be use in a ear piercing gun?

Can't, this is ordinary stud earrings, suitable for sports wear.

Could this be used after your ears is pierced?

yes, that is what it is for. My daughter used them during soccer cause she had just got her cartilage done and it would start to heal very quickly.
