Makes noticeably better coffee and extremely easy to use
Every time I brew a new pot of coffee, I'm more and more happy I purchased the Ninja. I went looking for something that would make a quality brew, but also have a removable water reservoir for ease of use. This fits the bill and more. First off, I'm thoroughly impressed with the noticeable difference in the flavor of coffee. I had a Cuisinart that was just a few years old and didn't cost much less than the Ninja that I just HAD to get rid of. The pot dripped all over the place, often, which made filling it each time a horrible pain, not to mention the coffee spills all the time. The flavor was OK. All in all, not worth what I spent for it. Enter the Ninja. After doing the required 2 pots of water upon setup, I brewed up my first pot of coffee. I immediately noticed a taste difference (after it cooled down some - this thing makes HOT coffee)! I don't know if it's because it does a short bloom of the grounds or just the hotter temperature of the water, or something else. I just know the Ninja makes a noticeably better tasting coffee. The removable water reservoir is easy to grab, thanks to a grab spot molded into the side of it. It makes filling it up extremely easy. Only thing better would be a permanent water line piped into it. :) To top it off... NO DRIPS! I actually spent time trying to make the pot drip. I couldn't do it. It pours perfectly every time and you never have to worry about cleaning up the counter unless you miss the cup! The adjustable amount of delay it keeps the coffee hot after brewing is also nice. 2 hours (standard) always seemed a little short for me. 3 hours is better. I think it goes up to 4 hours. All in all, no disappointments or bad points found about this Coffee Maker, and many good / great points.

Best Coffee Maker I Have Ever Had!
I have only had this coffee maker about a week. But so far, I'm in love with it. It makes a good cup of coffee, and I love all the features. I used to have a Mr. Coffee, and I am SO glad I upgraded. The Ninja makes a notably better cup of coffee, smother and less bitter. The ease of making the coffee is great. I LOVE that it has the water container on the side of the machine (probably my favorite feature)! You pop it off and fill it at the sink and pop it back on. No spilling water on the counter. The other problem I had with the pitcher on the Mr. Coffee is when I would pour the water in, as it dripped on the counter, so would get on cabinets under the counter, and ruined some of the wood. Problem solved. Love the design. I love the sturdiness of the pot. It does not spill coffee on my counter, like, you guessed it, my Mr. Coffee. The programming for delayed brew is super easy. I use it every day. With my Mr. Coffee, the programming never worked. I like that I don't have to buy filters, because it comes with a gold filter. I also save money because I used less coffee for a better brew. If you are chugging along with something cheap like a Mr. Coffee, it is worth every penny to upgrade. I am a happy camper in the morning.

Bought 6 1/2 years ago and it’s still working great!
I bought this Ninja coffee maker in June, 2019. (Thought I’d catch up now on my Amazon reviews.) Now, 6 1/2 years later, it’s still working fine. Excellent and reliable coffee plus longevity is what I hoped for!

Excellent coffee maker with separate water reservoir
After 10 or 15 years, we had to finally put down our Black and Decker Spacemaker coffee maker. We're glad we found this Ninja unit. It looks good and it has a solid feel to it. Easy to use controls - I didn't read the directions like I normally do. It pours without spilling a drop, no matter if there's a little or a lot of coffee in it. It makes plenty too for a group of 4 with our extra large cups. A major feature for us was a removable water reservoir and this one is easy to use and it has clear measurement markings on the front. It's surprising to me how few coffee makers there are that have this feature. This unit makes good, hot coffee too and we use the 'delay brew' feature often. I had to take 1 star off for a design feature - you access the coffee and filter from the top rather than a swing-out front. The unit is almost 15" tall and to open the top to access the coffee filter adds about another 4" of space that you need to add coffee or access the used grounds. It would take a very tall cabinet (or an open space) to accommodate this unit without having to pull it out to put in or remove coffee. So we pull it out. Just a small inconvenience. We also use paper cone filters in the brew basket. We didn't get coffee grounds in the coffee but we did get coffee 'dust' before we started using paper filters. We've had this about 3 weeks and are very pleased with it. I don't often take the time to write reviews but I thought this one was very deserving.

Great Cuisinart Replacement!
We were on our third Cuisinart coffee maker over about 12 years and were finally done with the brand. It was definitely NOT as well made as previous ones-- the numbers on the side wearing off in less than a year and the warming plate material eroding. Finding a replacement was the challenge as though the OXO Brew pour over was very highly rated, we had tried it at our son's house and did not share the enthusiasm over its performance. I typically make good decisions based on analysis of Amazon reviews and the choice of this Ninja was one of them. It far surpasses the performance of the Cuisinart in the following ways: 1. It is SO much easier to fill the water tank as it is removable. No more careful pouring of water into the relatively small opening-- a task made more difficult when numbers on the side have worn off! 2. The coffee is MUCH hotter upon completion. 3. Even on classic brew, the strength of the coffee flavor is perfect, unlike the Cuisinart which had to be set to "stronger" brew to achieve the same result. 4. The coffee pot itself is much more comfortable to hold. 5. Cleaning the pot is easier, with no coffee residue gathering in creases in the glass. The Cuisinart pot required careful cleaning to thoroughly remove coffee stains. The only complaint I have, similar to other reviewers, is the difficulty I often have with the coffee pot lid. It requires a bit of work to make sure it is lined up in order to click into place. It sometimes takes a few tries to accomplish this task and I wish it were more efficiently designed but given that I find so much to like about this coffee maker, I put up with the extra effort it takes to align the lid with the pot. I highly recommend this coffee pot--especially if one is considering it and a Cuisinart!

THIS MACHINE LEAKS! We loved this machine but after 2 years it's leaking!
UPDATE: 2/11/22 After 2 years our machine has started to leak. It still makes good coffee but our counter is all wet in the morning. I called the Ninja company and they offered to sell me a new one at a discount but the warranty is only 1 year. (not great) I'm going to take it apart and try to fix it. I waited a year before writing a review of our Ninja 12-Cup. This is important to make sure we had time to learn how to properly use the features as well as test the durability with daily use over the course of a year. Our last machine was a fairly expensive Krups coffee/espresso machine and there were many problems with it. I found myself often asking, "did they ever actually try this machine before they put it on the market?" This Ninja machine is very well designed. It's as if the engineers were actually using the product as they designed it! For one, the carafe pours perfectly. (Our old machine would drip every time we poured a cup.) Also, we love rich, dark coffee and this machine does it really well. I also love the external water tank. This allows you to fill the reservoir without using the carafe that may have residual coffee in it. (keeps the internal works much cleaner) The hot plate keeps the coffee just right and it even has an auto shutoff after two hours. (I've forgotten to shut it off on our old machine and had some really burned coffee stains on the pot) Finally, I never thought that we'd use the automatic timer/brew start. But now we use it pretty much every day. It's so easy and logical to set and it's so nice to wake up to fresh brewing coffee early in the morning! Note: I will add the caveat that I keep all of our household appliances clean and dry. It's never good for any machine to be left wet day after day. I also clean the hot plate if it gets dripped on, etc. This has always worked well for us and makes most appliances last for many years. Well done Ninja!

Great product!
Loved this coffee maker. Bought September 2019 and it just quit yesterday morning. Nice to get 6 1/2 years out of something. I took care of this very well and followed all manufacturer’s instructions on cleaning and maintenance. I am buying it again and looks likes it’s cheaper in 2026! Yeah!

Solid coffee maker.
So I've had two Cuisinart coffee makers within the past 12 months and had the same problem with both of them. The power switch went out making it impossible to brew a pot of coffee. So this time I decided to try something new. One of the things I hate most about making coffee is filling up the carafe and then pouring it into the water reservoir. It should be simple, but there's always drips and water spills. So when I saw this Ninja coffee maker I cautiously fell in love at first sight and seeing how it had some of the top reviews out of the ones I was looking at, I went for it. And after using it for a week or so, it really is as good as it seems. Fill up the reservoir, click it into place, and tada! No pouring, no spills. And the carafe on this thing is designed way better to avoid drips when pouring coffee. It's just a more hassle free experience. And the flavor is great too. I like being able to choose between classic or rich flavors. This household likes it rich, but it's cool to be able to brew a classic pot when company is over. The warming plate stays on longer than most coffee makers, and props to Ninja for being able to adjust the time setting on it up to 4 hours. This is probably why our Cuisinarts kept breaking to be honest. The bf was constantly hitting the power switch to turn the warmer on and seeing how that's what kept breaking... but I digress. I have no idea how the small batch brewing works cause that just isn't a thing in our house, but I'm sure it works fine. Oh and the flavor straw thing is a pretty cool feature. I was skeptical at first because it seemed unecessary, but I never did like how in a typical coffee maker the strongest coffee seemed to be in a layer at the bottom and wasn't mixed well. I always would swirl the pot before pouring. But again, that issue which I didn't really realize was even an issue until using this coffee maker -- solved! The straw thing makes it so it mixes in the pot better on it's own. All in all, this is a solid coffee maker and I'm extremely pleased with my purchase. Hopefully it will last longer than the Cuisinarts.
