Usually flare kits are flare kits. There's only so many ways you can flare the end of a piece of tubing. However, that statement cannot be applied to this flaring kit. This kit has two flaring bars with five pipe sizes in each ranging from 1/4" all the way up to 3/4" for copper or aluminum. It makes 45° flares and the neat thing is that it has an eccentric cone that does the flaring. There's a caged bushing that goes around the head of the flaring tool which makes using it smooth and simple. I uploaded some photographs so you all can see what a nice job this flaring tool does on a piece of 1/2-in copper tuning. The flare is perfect! Also included is a deburring tool and a pipe cutter. Everything you need to make clean even flares. I have flaring kits that only do five sizes of tubing that I paid much more for. This kit is far Superior to anything I own at a fraction of the cost. One thing that I thought was kind of cool was that they flared a piece of quarter inch copper tubing with it prior to shipping as a kind of QC test and left the flared piece in the flare rail to show you that it was tested and it works perfectly. Very cool idea. As far as I am concerned this is a quality tool at a fair price!

I couldn’t be happier with my purchase of this flaring tool. When I was installing a mini-split system, the specifications indicated that the smaller copper line was 1/4". However, upon closer inspection, I found that the actual tubing was metric. Fortunately, this tool expertly handled the soft metric copper without any issues, saving me from the risk of damaging or deforming the pipe with an improperly sized imperial tool. The cuts it made were impressively clean and square on the soft copper lines, with no burrs left behind to worry about. The tool grips the line securely, ensuring precision during use. After flaring and pulling a vacuum, I was pleased to find that the system maintained a perfect vacuum with no leaks, clearly indicating that the cuts had been made accurately. One minor detail to note is that the case of the tool does not come with any labels. You'll need to add your own for identification, but this is a small price to pay for such a high-quality tool.

It's a shame we don't make tools like this in the U.S. anymore, but I have to say that the Chinese manufacturer did a great job with this kit. The flaring tool and accessories all feel robust and well made. I'm not a professional plumber or HVAC tech, but this certainly feels like a professional quality kit to me. Everything appears to be made of aluminum alloy, with the eccentric flaring cone made of steel. The case is made of a solid plastic that should hold up well over time. The two included flaring clamps allow for using the tool with a wide range of pipe sizes. This really is a great kit at a very reasonable price. I'm very happy with it.

Very nice quality. Very happy with the purchase. If you’re looking for a kit to make perfect flare fittings, get this. I’ve never made a flare fitting before, but this one made a perfect one the first time. Nice and shiny and symmetrical. Way better than the factory flares that came with the coil tubing or the mini split for that matter. Pretty easy to use and hold. The tubing cutter is also great and so is the deburring tool. It’s a little clunky to try and hold everything, but it is a very rugged tool and produces beautiful perfect flares. Solid value overall

After previously borrowing a very expensive professional flaring tool, I was impressed that this kit delivered the same uniform, leak-proof results. It’s a high-quality set that handles high-pressure lines with ease. The last time I had to do some line work, I borrowed a professional eccentric flaring tool from a friend that cost several times what this one does. When I needed to replace a damaged section of pipe this winter, I decided to save some money and try this kit instead. I honestly couldn’t tell the difference in the final result—the quality of the flares is excellent. The eccentric cone design is the key here; it rolls the flare out smoothly and creates a consistent, thick wall that is absolutely necessary for a leak-proof connection on R410a lines. I really appreciated the built-in clutch, which clicks when the flare is done so you don’t accidentally over-torque and crack the copper.

I’m very impressed with this eccentric flaring tool kit. It functions very well, creating very smooth flares at the correct angle. What interested me to this particular flaring kit was that it included a metric jig. This is something I hadn’t seen before and is useful if modifying a mini split that has metric lines. The price of this eccentric kit is excellent considering it includes the metric jig. Using the flaring tool is easy, keeping in mind to use a small amount of oil and preparing the line correctly first. The tools in this kit are extremely durable. The hold on the lines via the jig are incredibly tight which is perfect. Having a nice carry case and a high quality line cutter makes this kit a great value. The flaring tool has a very precise clutch that prevents over tightening of the flare.
