What is the difference between ROG HFX V1 (original version) and the new ROG HFX V2/V2X Switches?

ROG HFX V2/V2X magnetic switches build on the original HFX with 3.5mm travel and a lighter force curve for faster input, improved efficiency, and less fatigue. The enhanced wobble-free design delivers consistent keystrokes and precise performance.

What is the difference between ROG HFX V2 and V2X Switches?

ROG HFX V2 offers a classic feel with broad keycap compatibility and a standard stem design. V2X adds a hollow-square stem, larger magnet, and X-stabilizer for enhanced stability and tighter control across different keycap styles.

What does Rapid Trigger do?

Rapid Trigger allows the key to reset instantly as you release it, instead of waiting for a fixed reset point. This enables faster repeated inputs and more precise movement, especially for actions like counter-strafing, with less effort and delay.

Gear Link is ASUS ROG’s web-based configuration tool that lets you customize your keyboard settings directly in your browser with no software install. All new 2026 ROG devices are compatible with Gear Link.

What other Hall Effect keyboards does ASUS offer?

Currently ASUS ROG offers three types of Hall Effect/Magnetic Switch keyboards, each with different variations of colors/designs, switches, and keycaps: Falchion Ace HFX, Falchion Ace 75 HE, and Azoth 96 HE. See comparison table below to learn more.
