I'm using this to replace an old fluorescent light that was above my kitchen sink. This fixture is the perfect size for that. I did have to install a round outlet box first before installing the light. The fixture itself is super-lightweight. There are 3 wires - green, white, and black. Each wire is terminated with a quick-connect plastic wire connector. You simply flip up the side of this connector, insert the corresponding colored wire into that side, then snap it back down to lock the wire into place. Very easy. I wrapped all 3 wires with electrical tape for added safety. I have only 2 minor complaints about this light. One is that the 3 wires attached to this fixture are very thin. They're about half the thickness of a normal wire. The other is that the selection switches for the light temperature and wattage are at the top of the light. To get to them, you'll have to remove the fixture using the 2 thumbscrews, then change your selections, then re-attach the fixture. But, since those settings are typically only done one time (once you have your fixture in the place you want it), those are minor nit-picks. The outside of the fixture does get hot, as does the adjustment ring (to adjust the width of the light angle), so do this when your light has been off for awhile.

This spot light is perfect for reading sheet music. The ability to set the color temperature and brightness (3 levels) is a plus. Note: these settings are set with switches located inside the fixture’s wiring harness, so you should choose before securing the light fixture. There is no remote, so you will need to have it wired with a switched power supply or use an RF connector with a remote switch. The case of the light was bent, but it’s not noticeable once installed. Great value and nice minimalist design.

Works well and easy to install with the thumbscrews. Body is solid metal and high quality construction. I have another model that uses tiny hex screws to secure the light to the mounting plate and that's MUCH harder to install in comparison. The adjustable focus lets you fine-tune the spread of the beam. Decent value overall and creates nice, moody lighting
