Buy USB-A/USB-C Computer Speakers for PC Desktop, Wired Portable Mini Sound-bar for Monitor with Stereo Sound & Enhanced Bass, Laptop Speakers for Desktop, PC, Smartphones,Tablets with RGB Lights: Computer Speakers - desertcart.com โ FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases Review: Excellent external speaker - I just want a simple, USB powered speaker for my laptop for listening to audiobooks and podcasts as I fall asleep. My laptop speakers just don't cut it. For my purposes this speaker provides plenty of volume and clarity without harshness, and is very simple to use. You can turn off the light on the volume roller - I wish this function would save, but you have to turn it off each time you use the speaker. The last external speaker I had was hardwired to the USB cable, and when the connection at the base of the speaker it stopped working. This speaker just uses a regular, detachable USB C to USB A cable, which is a consumer-friendly choice that I appreciate. Review: Great sounding. Love the size - Great sound coming out of this computer speaker . Very easy to control volume and live the bass boost

Surprisingly great sound, a bit quirky under Linux
Sound is clear and surprisingly loud. The two equalizer settings are nice, but I hardly use them. The "voice boost" is pretty cool as it makes dialog easier to pick out from background sound in movies/TV and also enhances the vocals in music. That said, I usually leave the eq off. As another reviewer pointed out, under Linux, the volume control is quite wonky. The speaker presents itself as a HID device and the volume wheel adjusts both the system volume and the speaker's local volume. This causes all kinds of weirdness. If you disable the HID input it presents (outside the scope of this review), you can adjust the volume all the way up on either the PC or speaker and use the other to set the volume. Also under Linux, the volume range presented by the device is incorrect so the minimum volume on the PC needs to be at least 30-40% before the speaker will output anything. That quirk I have not yet figured out how to fix. Since I bought this to use with a headless Raspberry Pi as a Snapcast receiver, it doesn't read in the HID controls from the speaker so it works as it should (minus the volume range issue, but I just leave ALSA output to 100 and adjust the volume either from the speaker or from the Snapcast web interface). 4 stars for providing a sleek, good-sounding speaker that's natively USB-C with one star off for the wonky DAC that powers it. Updated review: Not taking off any stars, but providing additional context. This speaker does not like being plugged into a hub. Powered or unpowered hub, it just doesn't want to initialize unless it's plugged directly into the host's USB port. I'm not sure if it just uses more than the "standard" USB power unit or what, but it's definitely annoying to have to fiddle with which port it wants to work in (tested on multiple devices: laptops, one desktop, Raspberry Pi, BananaPi, and Orange Pi).

Great Quality for the Price.
For the price, itโs an incredible value. The built-in EQ for voice amplifies it perfectly. The instructions are very clear, and they start of stating how itโs truly plug-n-play, which I never believe, but itโs true. I has a USB-C port for the sound signal and power, which I appreciate. And it comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable that has a USB-C to USB-A adapter plugged into one end, should you need USB-A. The volume control roller on it is lit and it also operates as a pause-play by pressing down on it. The button adjacent the volume control functions as a toggle between preset EQ settings of Communication (voice), Bass boost (music) and off. The instructions could be a little clearer here. Those are the three options. You cannot make adjustments to each. You simply press the button until it announces the one you want. A long press toggles between three settings for the lit volume control. Again, the instructions could be clearer here, but itโs okay. Choice one is RGB. It will fade in and out of various colors (much more than RGB, such as turquoise). What would be nice is if once the color you like displays, if you could tap it to lick it in. Nope. Itโs either the color wheel orโฆChoice 2 is solid white and choice 3 is unlit. But wait, thereโs more. It does have a built-in microphone that works well. All in all, I couldnโt be more pleased for the price. I purchased this for office use so I could hear the beep of Teams messages when my boss messages me while I have my headphones on, listening to Spotify. I donโt use it for videoconferencing or music. Lastly, there is an error in the description for this item. It does not clip to a monitor. Yet, that should be readily apparent if you scroll through the pics and read the description.

Amazing deal!
Inexpensive, good quality, works on pc, laptop, and phone! Perfect for a backpack pocket. No setup, no Bluetooth pairing, and sounds great.

Faulty base but good for price
I got two and both have the same issue. There is an audible buzzing sound resulting from the bass even with low to medium Volume while using the vocal EQ setting to minimize the base even further, it's a shame because the part of the speaker that is not the bass which is separate does actually sound decent for a cheap speaker (edit: I got a different speaker and I decided to keep this one, I guess speakers are pretty expensive and you can't expect to not have noticeable faults on the lower end prices)

This is now the third computer speaker I have purchased for a laptop with woefully inadequate built in speakers. The previous two worked but the power cord for both failed at the usb connector end (cord break) and I was was admittedly too dim to think about buying a cord extender previously to reduce wear. On this speaker, the power cord is separate and easily replaced if necessary. The unit is compact with well balanced and more that adequate sound level. There is an onboard sound level adjuster using a scroll wheel. So far, I am very pleased with this purchase.

Amazing sturdy little speaker, just plug into your computer and it works. Iโm not a geek about the ins and outs of music production but itโs perfectly fine for me to listen to while Iโm working. It has the capability of being very loud (if you want) without distortion. I bought this to replace one I had just bought that cost half as much again, which after 1 1/2 songs had started to whine constantly. This is brilliant - no problems at all. Could do without the changing coloured light, but holding a button for 3 seconds stops it. Overall amazing value for the money
