Yaktrax Traction Chains for Walking on Ice and Snow (Pair)

Great to prevent falling on ice! I like that there isn’t a strap over the top of these- you can leave them on your boots and just take boots off. I bought the ones with springs (same manufacturer) first- they lasted about 6 wks; about 6k daily. I hope these last longer: they do seem to be better built: thicker rubber bands on the sides and of course chains not springs. I think the springs probably gripped ice better, but who wants to replace every 6wks. I’m always going to have a pair of these for winter dog walks.

These are like putting tire chains on an AWD vehicle, except it's for my boots -- pretty much invincible on snow and ice! They fit rather snugly, and took some effort to put on, but no big deal. I like that they're on so tight, and they feel very stable. Great product, Yaktrax -- Five stars!

Got these for a recent winter camping trip to Iceland. Super easy to slip on and off boots. Sizes on the chart are accurate. It worked great on most surfaces, small and relatively light, but if you anticipate more straight ice (not just mix of ice/snow or packed snow) and won’t be walking much in the city, definitely opt for Kahtoola MICROspikes.

It takes me a minute to put them on, but as someone who lives in Montana, they're quite useful.

I walk dogs, and these made walking on snow, ice, even cleared sidewalks, a DREAM! You can really *feel* the chains biting into the ice for amazing stability (even with a large pulling dog!) While you can also feel these on cleared sidewalk, it doesn't really affect my balance or stride. I haven't had these very long yet so can't comment on durability, but so far so good with close to daily use. Snow chains for your boots! 10/10!

These are so easy to put on and work across multiple boots. Definitely help with icy traction.

Worked great...while they lasted:( In "discussion" with manufacturer as I don't want to have to pay anything to send them back. Why can't I just send an image? This has not been resolved yet.

Surprisingly good product. So quick and simple to fit. Will be interesting to see how well they perform on ice but the quality is certainly there.

I'm pleased with the performance of the chains. So far I've walked 25km over a variety of ice, packed snow and bare concrete. They haven't budged on my Keen hikers, are comfortable and grip well on all surfaces I've encountered. We'll see how long they last. The chains seem skookum enough, don't show any wear yet and the rubber is durable. So far I'm very happy.

Best Ice Trekkers I've ever had. I have had several different ice trekkers. Previous pair were also Yaktrak with springs but the chains are the best!!
