had fun assembling it but track clips do not hold track very good

This is an ok way to buy Knex parts and it will be fun to assemble. But don't buy at full price. The manufacturers obviously have had some quality control issues and there were parts missing. The kit itself works if you assemble it but it's quite shaky and needs quite a few changes as quite a few joints shake lose unless you use different parts.

Bought as a gift, the price was great as it was reduced, I thought it was a good idea for an older boy who usually only like video games, to encourage him to build and play instead of stare at his screen, hopefully it will go down well

My 7 year old loves it. It is a big thing when put together but need to be carefour as parts can disconnect easely. Had just enough parts to build it. No spares! So be cautious not to loose any. Highly recommended.

Amend review 4/1/19, got a replacement no problem on requesting, delivery was after Christmas into new year, to be expected with all the hols, package opened, all checked for correct amount of bits, frame assembled all clips working, one happy son. Ordered for my Son from his Father Christmas list, he’s had a couple of K’NEX toys in the past, and loved them all, had a couple of minor issues with missing parts but have managed to utiles other knex to resolve. This knex has smaller pieces and on initial inspection all looked well. Main frame of build went up ok, (but forgot how sore it makes you fingers). On fitting the track for the car, we found a couple of small pieces missing, it didn’t really stop our build but found that the clips are not as strong as the older larger pieces. The track kept popping off the clips and stopped the train from working. Couldn’t swap with other knex already have due to the difference in sizes. Have returned the full knex and looking fir a replacement,really hoping it’s a one off bad toy and the next one should be fine. Will keep you posted.

Great value for money - I didn’t realise it was the smaller k’nex pieces. I think my son will enjoy this more when he is a bit older as it is very fiddly - currently age 7. When working it’s great!

Fabulous as are all k'nex sets. This is going to be hours of fun for my 8 year old

I have several K'nex Imaging toy sets, and my kids love them. This is not the first rollercoaster set we have, and I don't know the K'nex Ride it the app is out of service for quite a long time and the company seems to have no plan to fix it. The Thrill Ride series is very flimsy compared to the Imaging series, and you can't be very creative but following the instructions. This series is not worth the money if without the VR feature. I managed to tell my boy that I can't fix the app as it's out of my control, but he is still very sad, especially he spent so many hours complete the rollercoaster himself. DO NOT BUY, spend you money somewhere else and avoid another disappointed kid.

My son loved getting this for his 8th birthday! He had fun putting it together-- it was just the right amount of challenge.

I’m bothered. I bought this one specifically because it said that the viewer was included, but when it arrived there was no viewer. I know it’s only a small part of the toy, but that was why I bought this one over the others. Some of the others were cheaper, but didn’t include the viewer.
