I chose this pattern because it's beautiful and enhances by plain black purse. Also because I live alone in a highrise apartment complex where I often am nervous in the large scary parking area under the building. I'm also often alone when I use the 33 story stairwell for exercise and I wanted a tool that would make me feel safe if I ever had to protect myself. This is a high quality item that's durable and made of a strong material. It's very fairly priced, in my opinion. You can tell it's not cheaply made and is not going to break. I'd feel very safe using this for protection if I ever have to. I imagine this would stop someone in their tracks that tried to attack me at close range. The bonus is that it's pretty, too.

Haven't had to use this for self defense. Seems sturdy and good quality. Nicely made and it's pretty.

This is a decent self defense tool, made of very tough and shock resistant ABS plastic. Because this weapon is marketed primarily for female hands, it is quite small and mundane in size and general appearance. Which of course is one of it's major strengths. This is NOT a big scary weapon that you would want to wave around at your attacker. But rather is designed to be shielded discreetly in the hand until needed. (If your fearful of your surroundings this tool should ALWAYS be in your hand. No weapons, guns or knives included, are as effective buried in the bottom of a backpack or purse). Many reviewers have complained that this little guy is not sharp enough. In reality it doesn't have to be. Compare the pointed tip of your Munio to the surface area of your fist for example. This tool is a significant force multiplier that directs the power of your strike into a much more finite area. Of course no sane person relishes the idea of hammering someone's face, neck, (or in a dire emergency) raking someone's genitals or eyes. I KNOW...I KNOW this sounds terrible and it is. If you can't envision yourself attacking with commitment that's OK...that tells me your probably a very nice person). But let's face it, our streets have no shortage of dangerous predators that are perfectly willing to seriously harm you simply because they can. I'm a senior male with fairly large hands and though it is a bit small for me I do carry a Munio daily. Many...many years ago (when God's dog was still a puppy) I trained in the martial art so I can definately see the utility of this tool. Yes...I'm a nice person too, but I refuse to be victimised. I hope you'll make that decision too. Buy one of these. Train with it until it feels comfortable in your hand. Though a long way from a gun, this fully LEGAL tool could help you out of a bad situation. If nothing else, it is definitely much better than nothing at all.

I LOVE Munio. I love the name's meaning (I protect/I defend). I love the thin yet incredibly strong structure of this product. After I leave a review for this one, I'll order another one (I mean today) for traveling. I love that you can take it with you on a plane and still not be vulnerable to a physical attack. It's hiding in plain sight, because it's very pretty and just looks like a cute keychain (for those complaining that there's not a plain colored one it's to really disguise it as a weapon, Sherlock) . It's deceiving, because I tested it out immediately upon arrival. If you've ever tried to open a bag of bottled waters, you know it's TOUGH. I sometimes use a knife and still struggle to open it. The knife makes a thin cut. Not Munio! I stabbed and dragged Munio in one swift motion and created that huge gaping opening in the bag. I'm glad there was no water bottles on that side, because I believe they'd have been damaged! I added my keys and whipped them at coats once time, that were hanging up and one flew off the rack 🤣! This is an AMAZING safety tool. I usually don't leave reviews, but I was very impressed. I had to stop because I didn't want to scare my kid further, as he watching me and hearing the racket. God bless this company with more success. As a former victim of violence I wish I had this to protect me in the past!
