I'm an electrical engineer. For the most exacting professional work, I'll use a Fluke 87 or 287 DVM or spendy oscilloscope. But those are all big, heavy and expensive! This dandy little meter is perfect for keeping in a daypack or glove box "just in case": It's small and light enough its not a hassle to carry around. It's cheap enough I don't have to worry I might damage or lose it. and it's powerful and versatile enough to solve 99% of the problems I'm likely to encounter (or have sprung on me by family and friends who know what I do for a living)

I've got a gazillion volt ohm meters (VOMs) from various manufacturers. I didn't really need another, by nostalgia of the folding "pocket meter" Radio Shack used to sell caused me to put this one in my cart. Compared to the Radio Shack model, quality appears to be about the same, with the size of the allsun being slightly larger. The addition of the sliding lock on the case was a nice touch, as is the ability to run the meter off a single AAA battery (not included). The test leads are not detachable, so this is a "use it til it breaks, then buy another" product. The price point is good and auto-ranging operation is very straightforward. Just keep in mind this isn't a lab-grade instrument, so it's not fair to compare it to your Fluke. But for a back-up/spare meter for the car or junk drawer, this VOM fits the bill nicely and it's nice how the leads are enclosed inside the package. Opening/closing it is a bit of a pain, particularly with the double-jointed hinge, but I think that's a fair trade-off for the neatness when it's a stored away.

After about 3 months of constant use it is still working great. Its accurate (measuring the same things with a fluke meter gave nearly the exact same numbers) its simple, and its so convenient. I used to have to carry my fluke everywhere in a big case, but this thing just drops down in the side of my toolbag. The edges are all rounded so it slides easily into pockets. The *only* minor complaint I have is that if you don't pay attention you can pinch your lead wires in the case when closing it. It's very easy to avoid, and even after pinching the wires several times they still work great. Well worth the money, and definitely get the auto-ranging, AAA battery one. Haven't had to change batteries yet, but AAA is much easier to find than button cells.

Great small multimeter to keep in the vehicle tool kit.

I've bought this meter before and found it useful. I wanted to add one to my work trailer so I ordered another. It arrived apparently dead. I couldn't get the unit to turn on at all. I read and reread the 16 page Users Manual. No mention of removing a protective tape from the battery like lots of battery powered devices. Access to the battery requires unscrewing the back, not a slide out panel. Being brand new, I didn't want to remove the cover for fear of voiding a warranty. I got an email from the seller. Yep... got to remove the back cover and then remove the tape protecting the battery. My only other complaint is it is a big difficult to open. Radio Shack used to have a similar meter that was much easier to open.

Accurate to my Milwaukee meter. Extremely small and easy to carry in my pocket so I have a meter on me all day.

This is a good compact meter that works well. It measures all common voltages and resistance. The display is reasonably easy to read but for use old guys - you will still need your glasses to read the units indicator which is quite small. That is my only complaint - decent sized digits but tiny units indicators that I need my reading glasses to see. It has a buzzer for continuity checks. I like the case that keeps the probes well sored when it is not in use and protects the meter when it is bouncing around inside my tool bag with the other tools.

Just a great product to have around. Self armoured, so it doesn't get smashed kicking around on a motorcycle, self contaned, so there isn't buts everywhere. Tested against my Fluke multimeter, it's reasonably accurate. Certainly enough to diagnose and repair problems on the side of the road. Maybe a little tough to do communication diagnostics, but that's beyond scope of what I use it for anyways.

Le fait que les fils soient attachés à l'appareil et se roulent dans le couvert fait que le travail se fait bien sans perdre les fils. On ne se pose pas la question où on va les attacher pour les garder avec l'appareril. appareil bien pensé pour une efficacité concrète
