NARWAL Floor Cleaner (Model: S20 Pro, S30 Pro, S30)

When I was shopping for my Narwal wet/dry mop vac last year, one of the review comments that popped up multiple times was about this detergent. People said it was good, but pricey. I figured I'd use the bottle that came with my mop vac, then shop around for a better value. It was months before that first bottle was gone. The detergent is highly concentrated. I read somewhere more recently that the S20 uses only about a teaspoon to mop a place the size of mine (about 1100 square feet). Automatic dispensing surely helps ensure the detergent is used as needed, without being wasteful. The net result is that this ~$15 US bottle of detergent mops my floors 35-40 times. That's around .40 to mop the floor one time. Plus it comes in a squeeze bottle with a small nozzle that makes it easy to fill the mop/vac, so nothing spills. Before I started using this solution and the S20, I used the mop feature on a robot vac my husband purchased (over my objections). It wasn't a Narwal robot, and didn't really mop — just dragged a swiffer-like pad across the floor. Its tank had to be filled with cleaning solution — not concentrated cleaner like the Narwal. The solution I used seemed cheaper at $12 for over a gallon, but I was constantly running out *and* my floors were not clean. On the plus side, that stuff had a light and pleasant scent (the Narwal cleaner has none). My floors were gross, but they sure smelled nice after mopping. There's no way I can go back and do the math to figure out how much I spent on that other stuff, but I can tell you it was easily triple. All that for dirty floors. Our floors are dark, so it's hard to tell how dirty they are until you go to wipe up a spill and the paper towel comes up filthy. Despite the robot's nightly "mopping" (really swiffering) schedule. The first time I used this cleaner and the S20 Pro, I let its smart cleaning feature figure out what spots needed extra cleaning. The water I emptied out of the tank was positively disgusting. Again: this is after nightly robot vac mopping. The next couple of times the water was less and less dirty, and the fewer "your floor is extra gross in this spot" warnings the S20 issued. By the third or fourth time it was just light dirt and I dropped back to once a week. So the TL;DR is, take my $15, please. I am a little concerned that this detergent is currently unavailable and I don't know what I'm gonna do without it if it goes away. Fortunately, I've got a spare bottle so it'll be months before I have to worry about it.

goes a long way, and it should being so small. No complaints though because it is the best floor cleaner outside the ones that you sit on like a zamboni.

the cleaner does a pretty solid job picking up dirt, dust, and small messes around the house. i’ve used it on the floor quite a bit and it makes cleaning way easier than using a mop by hand. the suction is good and it picks up dirty water pretty fast. i also like that it can get into spots that are hard to clean with a normal mop. my biggest issue is the red dye. i really don’t like it and it makes the cleaner look cheap to me. i also worry about the color getting on light floors or leaving marks if something goes wrong. besides that, it works pretty well and saves me a lot of time. just wish they skipped the red dye completely.

Basic.. wish I could buy an off brand
