The Pilot .5mm Dr. Grip Gspec mechanical shaker pencil has become my favorite pencil to use. The shaker lead advance is awesome and works well. The grip is perfect and comfortable. And the pencil is made of high quality plastic and materials that will last a long time. Highly worth the price. A lot of good thought and design went into this pencil.

I had one of these many years ago, and I’m happy to say the quality is just as excellent today as it was back then. This is the “shaker” version of the Dr. Grip pencil—just give the pencil a shake, and it pushes the lead forward for you—no need to press the top every time! Super convenient, smooth writing, and built to last. Highly recommend!

Pilot pens and pencils is by far my favorite brand of writing utensils. They are made with such good quality. I never have any issues with them. I’m happy that I can still purchase these here on Amazon because I can’t find them in any local stores.

Everything from Pilot I've ever tried is quite good. This is not exception and others I tried simply didn't last at all. When you are a student or someone who just needs a trustworthy pencil, this is a good option. I do wish it was made of metal because we simply do not need anymore plastic in the world. I do recommend a separate white eraser, of which I've had the same plastic models since the 80s, never replaced.

I'm a little crazy about my pens and pencils and this is one of the greatest pencil I've ever had. It is nice to hold, just heavy enough and just big enough in the hand. I really love it. I couldn't use another pencil for weeks. The shaking mechanism works like a charm.
