Great for "Danish style" open sandwiches
My favorite replacement for Danish "Rugbroed" the staple for Danish style open sandwiches. This is a whole grain dense Rye bread.

Disappointing
Upon opening the bread, it was very dry and 1/4 of it was all crumbles. The taste was fine but I had to eat it with a fork, it just kept falling apart.

Must Toast
I purchased for sandwiches and cutting one piece in half.It’s probably not healthy anymore after toasting it in butter and offsetting the horrible taste by slathering the bread in Dukes mayonnaise,honey Dijon mustard & spicy pickled peppers sauce.
