I own a Schumacher Model SJ5 that I have owned for years and I have used it to jump everything from a riding lawnmower to a 3.8L V6 Ford Mustang. After 7 years of selfless service the SJ5 is starting to lose some jumping power. When looking for a replacement jump starter the Schumacher SJ1329 was a no brainer. Just like the Schumacher SJ5, the Schumacher SJ1329 is heavy duty and well built. The Schumacher SJ1329 is simple to use. Simply hook up the cables and start the vehicle. The Schumacher SJ1329 has a small push switch on the front to check the charge on the battery. When you connect the jumper cables to the vehicle requiring a jump start and press the switch on front, the battery indicator may go from green to yellow or even red depending on the condition of the battery in the vehicle requiring a jump start. This is totally normal based on my experience with the Schumacher SJ5. Once the vehicle is started the jump starter indicator will be green. Here's the most important reason to buy a jump starter and carry it in your vehicle at all times. About 3 weeks ago, I went to the store and then to the gas station to fill up my 2009 Toyota Yaris. After gassing up, I turned the key and to my surprise, nothing except click, click, click. Caught me off guard and a total surprise that my battery was nearly five years old. Thankfully, someone helped me, I got the car home, and replaced the battery. The point is that for most people it is so easy to lose track of time since you replaced your vehicle battery. Ever since that day, I always carry the Schumacher SJ1329 in whatever vehicle me or my wife are driving. The Schumacher SJ1329 is a reasonably priced fully functional jump starter for 4 cylinder engines. Schumacher is a brand you can trust to deliver in both quality and performance.

Very light yet very powerful. I have a Diesel truck that normally takes a lot to start it but it jumped it off with no problem. I was surprised at how powerful this small jumper is. I would definitely buy it again.

Flashlight is handy wish it had a on/off switch

My battery died at my doctor's office. I inquired about a jump start from anyone. Lo and behold my doctor had this product in his car. Jumped and away I went. Next day I ordered one just like it. Used it until I got my new battery. Had to order it. Works every time. Light weight but heavy enough. Rechargeable. I'm a woman so worked great for me. I felt like a pro. Not cheap product. Should be one in everyone's vehicle. Average jump start here around $80. Paid for itself first jump. I give it 10 stars. Thank you for making this product.

Mainly using it for Memory Saver when recharging car battery and it seems working good enough for 1~2 days for the purpose. I believe that it may be much safer than leaving bare batteries unattended in the passenger side for a while.

Awesome jumper.. This isy second one.. First one I had over 25yrs..and probably would still be using it, altho my bad, I didnt keep it charged as recomended by manufacturer.. Purchase a new one and it has the same great power as the older one..and if at 64yo I ever need another..I will purchase the same again..!!

Easy to use,Light weight, great value for money

Piece of crap. Wouldn't hold a charge or died very very quickly and couldn't start my car. Tried to return this and it wouldn't let me. This was the first time I was unable to return something via Amazon. Who knows, maybe I just got that random one that didn't work. So disappointed though

It's super easy to use but has not worked once! Super disappointing. Do not waste your money!
