DEERC 1815 1/18 All Terrain Remote Control Car, Fast Drift & Racing RC Car

I have had this car for a couple of weeks now, and I love it. But before the review, one note: A few days into owning the car, I flipped it onto snow and the body broke near one of the holes for the connector rods (see picture). I contacted DEERC, and after sharing a picture and my order number, they sent me a new body, free of charge (the one in the bag in the picture). It took about 2 weeks to arrive, but it did come from overseas. Overall, I am very pleased with the speed and efficiency of their customer service. If you buy this car, you can know that they will stand behind their product. Back to the review. This car is extremely powerful, quick, fast, tough (besides the body cracking), and fun. I have driven it through snow and got it wet inside, and it still has no problems, so it is definitely water resistant. It has 4 wheel drive with metal differentials, so the wheels can spin at different speeds to help with cornering. Also, the batter connects securely and has a strap to hold it in. I attached the optional wheelie bar to the back, as every time you floor it, it does a wheelie. There are 2 speed modes on the remote, 70 percent and 100 percent. I usually use it on 70, and it is still plenty fast and can do a wheelie. On 100 percent I clocked it at 22 mph with my phone attached to it as a speedometer (so probably more like 25 since my phone is heavy). The remote also has a steering trim adjustment, a throttle, a wheel to steer, and a button to turn on the headlight on the car (super bright at night). The range is probably about 100 feet (not super good, but not bad either). The car is small enough that by the time it is that far away, it is hard to tell which way it is facing. The car also has oil filled shocks that feel nice, and when you are going forward and push the reverse throttle, the car brakes to a stop without continuing to back up. Finally, the rear wheels on the car are slightly angled in, which I have read online helps to corner better. Included with the car is: the car, the car body, 2 batteries (I get almost 20 min out of each one), a charger, 8 connecting pins for the body (it uses 4 so 4 extra), a wheelie bar and screws to attach it, a hex tool, a screwdriver, and a manual. I have jumped this car, landed it upside down, rolled it, and had a lot of fun. The one piece that did crack was replaced free of charge, which proved they have good customer service. I highly recommend this car for anyone wanting to get into rc car hobbying without spending $300 for a traxxas or other name brand car. Great customer service and great product.

Buying and assembly experience: I bought the car as a gift for my son. The packaging, instructions and accessories were more than satisfactory. Extra battery and body clips came in handy as you tend to lose those! Performance: I was surprised with the sturdiness of the product! We made makeshift ramps and slopes for jumps in the backyard and this car took all the blows confidently. 100% speed is basically INSANE! My son and I were just ecstatic. The Oil filled shocks are especially good for going over the bumps and steering is pretty accurate and linear. The car worked really good for about 4-5 weeks. Issues: After 5 weeks, the basic motion of the car felt restricted like something was either broken in the driveshaft or motor was not working well. The battery started dying in few minutes or slow movement. I tried checking the battery connections and it was getting very hot every time we tried using the car. Customer service: I contacted them over the email and the call. I explained the issue over the phone and also sent photos and videos of what seems to be wrong. We both came to first conclusion that the motor may the issue. Without any hesitation, the customer rep sent over a new motor. Since it was coming from overseas, it took about 12 days to arrive but I was happy that they were very open to resolve the issue. I replaced the motor but the problem did not go away. I emailed them again and the rep said we will send over a new product and I can keep the damaged one as they could not fix the issue. I was more than happy to hear that! The new package came within a week and it's been working really good for last few weeks. Summary: The RC car is absolutely bang for the buck for every age. Really great performance and A++ ratings for the customer service. They really respond within few hours and actually want to help you instead of trying to find ways to get out of warranty fixes. Highly recommended!

Tough little car. Body shells are thin, and get damaged easily, chassis and electronics hold up well, my 10 year old has a blast driving this around even without the body shell on it.

Very disappointed, 8 year old saved his money for a RC, chose this one and the first day of use the skin deformed after sitting in the sun for less than an hour (it was 70 degrees outside) it now looks horrible, bracket for the front light broke on day 2... Poor kid is bummed, he worked hard for his money and was beyond excited to make his purchase and now feels disgusted at the quality and doesn't understand how this RC that is meant to be used outside was ruined by sitting in the sun....

It was a lot faster than I expected I love the 4wd and it's surprisingly rugged hell of a RC

Definitely a fun fast little starter truck, great for the price maybe could be little less, just does not hold up 100% on battery charging for very long , it seems to have lost some pep since 1st running it, it does come with wheelie bar , but it’s been very difficult to get it to do a wheelie , also the steering adjustments seem to never get the steering to go straight for very long , it always seems to be taking a turn no matter how many times adjusted , but hey, for the price, definitely a cool gift , Maybe your kid will set it aside before original performance runs out, Definitely fun for age group years 4+

Très puissante ! À ne pas mettre entre toutes les mains ou sans surveillance ! Mes enfants de 6, 10 et 11 ans, l'ont essayée à mes côtés. La télécommande peut être réglée à 70 % de puissance, et la gâchette est suffisamment précise pour éviter d'accélérer à fond, jauger une vitesse convenable. À 100 %, la voiture délivre une puissance vraiment impressionnante ! GENIAL

Nachdem ich schon ein etwas kleineres DEERC Auto für mich selbst gekauft habe hat sich mein Sohn (8 Jahre) auch ein Ferngesteuertes Auto gewünscht. Nach etwas suchen habe ich mich dann für dieses Auto entschieden. Die Lieferung war problemlos und das Auto wie beschrieben. Der Wagen fährt super und das 1:16 Model ist schon deutlich Geländetauglicher als mein 1:18 Auto. Die Geschwindigkeit sieht so aus wie angegeben. Preis Leistungsmäßig finde ich das Auto vollkommen in Ordnung. Es gibt so wie ich es sehe nur drei minimale Kritikpunkte: 1: Die Hülle ist eindeutig der Schwachpunkt. Es wäre super, wenn noch eine Ersatzhülle dabei wäre, oder man unkompliziert Ersatzkaufen könnte. 2: Dieses Model hat nur zwei Geschwindigkeitseinstellungen an der Fernsteuerung wohingegen viele Modelle von DEERC eine Stufenlose Geschwindigkeitseinstellungen an der Fernsteuerung haben. Gerade für Kinder ist eine Stufenlose Einstellung sehr Vorteilhaft. 3: Die Einstellung für den Geradeauslauf an der Fernbedienung ist bei beiden DEER Autos die ich habe zu grob. Selbst minimale Änderungen an der Fernsteuerung haben einen relativ großen Einfluss. Die Einstellung ist zwar Möglich, aber dafür braucht man relativ viel Feingefühl. Der Grund warum ich trotzdem 5 Sterne gebe und nicht vier ist der Support von DEERC. Beim Spielen ist durch einen Fehler einer anderen Person ein Rad und die Hülle des Wagens von meinem Sohn kaputt gegangen. Ich habe beim DEERC support nach Ersatzteilen (wie in der Bedienungsanleitung aufgelistet) gefragt und sofort eine Antwort erhalten. Die Lieferzeit wäre allerdings wohl recht lange gewesen woraufhin ich aus Kulanz ein komplett neues Auto geschickt bekommen habe. So einen Support und Service finde ich spitze. Wie gesagt wäre es meiner Ansicht nach super, wenn DEERC ein Ersatzteil Set für die Fahrzeuge anbieten würde den es gibt sicherlich ein paar Teile die eher kaputt gehen als andere (Hülle, Reifen, etc.). Andererseits haben wir es selbst mit relative extremen Fahrstil keine Schäden am Fahrzeug solange man nicht mit viel Geschwindigkeit wo gegen fährt und niemand auf das Fahrzeug drauf Tritt sind die sehr Robust. Ich gebe eher selten Beurteilungen und meistens nur, wenn ich etwas extrem gut, oder extrem schlecht finde. Hier kann ich nur sagen ich würde immer wieder ein DEERC Ferngesteuertes Auto kaufen.
