Product: Staedtler 550 02 Noris Club Compass (INR 1056/- ) Pros + For geometrical drawings involving circles or arcs, this is most useful. + Drawing a pencil circle, and then using a handheld pen to trace the circle is neither accurate nor efficient. The pen holder (universal adapter) comes to help directly draw circles with fine liners or micron pens or sketches. + The extension bar helps in drawing larger circles when I draw on A3 drawing books Cons - Cannot draw very small circles as the central hinge rod in the compass will not allow. However such smaller circles can be traced easily and cleanly, so it is not of much concern. Worth buying to aid your interest and creativity in drawing :)

It is a plastic material build which makes is lightweight compared to metal builds. It seems sturdy for general usage (obviously, it can't compete with metal build in terms of sturdiness.) The compass works well. There is no/negligible movement of the leg without turning the screw. The case is of average quality. Cost-wise, I feel the price is little bit higher than expected for the plastic build. Some minor issues: - The locking mechanism of case got worn out in very short time. - The case as shown in the picture can only accommodate the compass when both leads are set to the single lead/point type. If you are frequently using pencil or pen with the pen-holder leg, then It gets little inconvenient to every time replace the marking leg back to the single lead version before the compass can be placed back in the case.

Highly Recommended with sharp precision. Though Rotring is another brand that provides a precise compass, that is priced way beyond this. Staedtler Norris proved to be a real precise compass at a viable price that makes affordability. I would say this is a rather more professional compass and stand out positively from its peers, specifically from the cost perspective, other things being the same. One word for this would be Effortless Yet Quite Precise.

Good but too expensive

The compass itself is really nice and worth the price but the joints tend to move and shift a little while drawing a circle no matter how tight I try to make them :(

Good for drawing larger circles plus I can fit a pen into it to draw inked circles. My favourite is still my Faber Castell compass but this Staedtler can do things the Faber cannot so well worth owning both.

Well made. The compass can be used not only with a lead for marking, but also with a pen. Easy to use. Well made considering it is plastic.

Der Zierkel reicht vollkommen aus und man muss nicht immer den teuersten nehmen. Es ist wichtig das der sein Zweck erfüllt und sehr präzise ist. Klare Kaufempfehlung.
