I was very excited to receive this as a gift. I had been on a mission to learn to make crème brulee. My only disappointment was that this doesn't come with the necessary butane fuel. I'm sure the person that bought this for me didn't' realize it was missing a necessary component. Needless to say, 9 months later and I still haven't used it yet because I haven't gotten around to ordering the butane.

Cannot give a 5. It does not have a level indicator as written. That is 1 of the reasons why I bought it. Not happy about it.

Does what it is supposed to.

I've been using this for a couple days now for dabbing and so far so good. It produces a good flame even at the lowest setting. It took about 20-30 dabs for me to have to refill it so you can refer to that if you are wondering how often you have to refill. The flame lock is very convenient to for heating up nail with one hand. I recommend this to everyone. Thanks Cake Boss!

Not easy to operate

The switches to turn it on are a bit annoying until you figure it out, but it isn't a downside because it's a perfect safety measure!! Also loved that a tasty creme brulee recipe was included with the instructions (yes I tried it and YUM).

I am having SO much fun with this thing!! I've torched all sorts of things, there is a learning curve as the first Creme Brulee I caramelized sugar on ended up being pretty much over caramelized, LOLIf you want a nifty little gadget that will torch meringues, toast marshmallow on top of sweet potato casserole and make a great sugar crust on Creme Brulee..get yourself one of these!!
