My Teeth and Gums are all tingling
Wow this item is fantastic! I feel as if I've just had a teeth cleaning at the Dentist. The pressure if incredible! I had to adjust to about only a 3rd of the power this puts out as the full force is very very powerful. Its funny as when I first turned it on I didn't know that the switch was set at full strength and the hose and sprigit thing went shooting all over the place :). Although I did find that using it at full strength it makes a wonderful shower cleaner. The spray gets into all the grout and groves of my shower walls. This was also very easy to put together. Mine though did not come with directions or manual but I went online to their site and they had videos and instructions for all that. I love that the adapter thing is made of solid steel so its very sturdy and solid. Unlike plastic which I have had on like hand help shower massages which eventually crack. This feels like its meant to be forever. Very well made. The 6 foot tube is really handy. DO NOT get the sink version if your sink is next to the shower. I found that its very easy to just pull it over to my sink and turn on the shower . Now I can use it in the Shower or the bath sink. I prefer the shower though because it can be very messy so doing all my cleaning in the shower is perfect. I also keep a small bottle of Listerine in the shower to swig with and this just makes my teeth/mouth feel great. My teeth are NOT perfect and sort of crocked in places which makes flossing a BIG hassle. This device has no problems getting into and through my Teeth and down in the Gum area. Two mini problems I have noticed though which are minor and I'll have to adjust is the aforementioned power of this. You do not want to use full power, It can hurt and damage the Gums which makes this device great because the creators of the breeze created it so you can adjust the pressure with a wide range to your liking. And 2nd is its very ticklish! But that's maybe just me :). I'll have to get use to it but it can be very ticklish as the jet spray hits everywhere in the mouth. All in all this is a fantastic little and very simple device and I would with out a doubt recommend this to anyone. I'm going to get one for my elderly Mother who has a very difficult time flossing with string

Great idea and improved manufacturing quality.
Original Review: I give this product a 5 for the clever idea but a 3 for implementation. Although generally of high quality (brass diverter and the new-style coiled 6' tubing), the handle and tips are problematic. I ordered two extra tips and of the four one shoots out water at the joint, two dribble, and one seems OK. Each of the four tips have wildly differing spray patterns. The cleverness of the design outweighs the quality shortcomings, though, especially since it is a shower unit so who cares if the water goes all over the place. The low pressure high volume approach takes a little getting used to if you are used to the low volume high pressure approach of a Water Pik. The overspray on to the roof of the mouth is indeed maddeningly ticklish but I imagine that will become bearable after a few weeks of adaptation. The massaging effect of a pulsating Water Pik is definitely more pleasurable and arguably more thorough, but again, the simple shower convenience still wins out with a "good enough". Having it handy means it will be used everyday. I wish they had not used a flow restricting valve for the diverter. Everyone already is going to have a flow restrictor in their shower head except those that don't want a flow restrictor. My guess is that it was the only kind they could source. Fortunately, the valve is easily disassembled and not so easily modified (drill out the valve vane). I don't imagine this being much of a problem if you are already using a flow restricted shower head and are used to it. It probably won't make any difference then. Also, as already mentioned by others, use a washer when installing if you have one handy or at least put many layers of the teflon tape or it will probably leak if only hand tightening. I got the combined shower/sink kit but after seeing the mess it makes I am not even going to open the sink version. The shower one is the way to go and definitely get the 6 foot version especially now that they are using a nicely compact coiled tubing. The added length opens many imaginative use possibilities. Edit: After a month of use I have become very fond of the 6' Shower Breeze. I also want to temper some of my criticisms. The leaky tips would all be fixed free under their warranty (I had some better o-rings so I fixed them myself) so that should not put anyone off. The spray style used is pretty much a safety requirement for a device which will have variability in the source pressure of different users. You can't really hurt yourself like you could if the spray was more needle-like and you had a very high water pressure source. It is definitely adequate in pressure in normal use and moving it rapidly back and forth during use does simulate pulsating. Also, most importantly, the tickling does go away after using it a while (or at least I don't pay attention to it anymore). This is a very good and effective product. I do wish the Oral Breeze owner who monitors the reviews here would stop clicking on the unhelpful button whenever he sees a negative review (in an attempt to drop them to the back of the default review queue). Work on fixing the minor problems reported instead. It only needs a few improvements. Edit: Not a problem just an observation. In normal use the spray openings in the tips will gradually wear out (6-8 months in my case) so it is a good idea to include a spare set when you order. Edit: It looks like they did fix the tip o-ring problem as of Jan 2013 according to the new product description. And a new valve is mentioned and the picture does look like it could be flow through rather than restricted. If so, then great and this is truly a 5 star product. It only took 2 years... Edit: Also they have discontinued the nice coiled plastic tubing in favor of straight tubing. Should still work fine just not as good looking and now gets in the way of squeegeeing the shower wall. Finally, I installed another one and I can say the valve is now non-restrictive and much better quality. At this point I would raise the rating to 5-stars.

It works well
I have a different perspective on this product than most other people. I had one of the counter-top units a long time ago and actually made my own for the shower using parts from the counter-top unit. I found the counter-top unit to be too messy. It was very powerful though. The multiple nozzles I had with the counter-top unit were also very nice. When I decided to adapt that unit to the shower, my primary concern was usefulness. I wouldn't use a counter-top unit very much because of limited counter space and mess. I found it difficult to find parts to adapt that unit to the shower because the hose was very tiny. When I did succeed, the hose would occasionally come undone because of the high pressure. That brings me to why I purchased this product. I thought it'd be better to have one that the hose wouldn't come lose on occasion. One that the fittings were made for the high pressure. My pros and cons: Pros: Product works very well. My mouth almost feels fresh even before I brush. Hose is connected firmly and will not come lose from the valve. The diameter of hose used also helps with it not coming lose. It's not too tiny. 6' hose is a must. I use it to do a little cleaning. Cons: I'd prefer a little higher pressure. I was spoiled by the counter unit. (See multiple nozzles) Various nozzles would be nice. 1) Tongue cleaner, 2) Narrower opening Aug 17, 2008: I was writing another review and thought I'd update my other reviews to current status. I am still using the irrigator, though I don't use it daily. Once a week is pretty good for me. I've gotten good remarks from the dentist. In fact, I did use it twice this week for personal hygiene and for general bathroom cleaning once...so this week was a good week. My wife doesn't like the feel of the irrigator, so she doesn't use it much. If she doesn't like the feel of this unit, she definitely wouldn't have liked the much stronger counter-top unit. At least this one has more of a variable speed. One big unexpected plus for using this unit is for my dog. She still has bad breath, but I've been able to clean her front teeth. I keep the nozzle away from her mouth and lift up her lips to spray in. I am very careful to not spray much into her mouth, but actually a glancing blow onto her teeth. While I cannot reach the back teeth, I can clean the front teeth enough to make a difference. I do this during the times I give her a bath. Feb 21, 2009 I'm still using the product quite a bit. I've had no problems. I use it for my teeth mainly, but also use it for cleaning grout and cleaning the toilet from a distance. (Yes, I make sure I clean my hands before I touch the oral breeze) I keep getting good remarks from my dentist. July 16, 2010 The nozzle base is now coming lose from the hose. My solution will be to cut the hose one inch shorter and reattach the nozzle base. It is still working well. I haven't checked to see if new nozzle have come out. I'd like one that was a "tongue cleaner." Dentists have given me good results so far and I am not that good at brushing after every meal. July 30, 2010 There is one more tip that can be ordered for this unit. I have not gotten it yet, but will. OralBreeze Cannula Tip & Adapter for $14.95 is for deeper cleaning. That should help with one of my cons. I still don't see a tongue cleaner attachment that is available.

One of my best purchases
Fantastic attachment. This is a great if you do your oral care in the shower. The valve body is built like a tank, and over the last few years, it has not shown any corrosion or breakdown. The tube and tips are replaceable. One recommendation would be compatibility with waterpik tips, but the existing tips are ok. Iโd love an interproximal brush attachment, though. The adjustable water pressure can remove paint, grout and possibly limbs in the higher setting, so be careful starting out. And definitely donโt drop it while under high pressure unless youโre wearing protective gear. Plus, my dentist is disappointed by the loss of income, so bonus points for that.

Hose constantly comes off
I believe the product is great when it's working correctly. I haven't really noticed any issues as other have had with reduced shower pressure. Obviously it will reduce when using the pik but otherwise no issues. Unfortunately my problem is the hose keeps coming off the the pik. It's not held on very strongly, just pushed over a feathered coupling. With the water pressure low it will stay on, but that seems to do nothing for my teeth. When it's high enough to effectively work, it keeps blowing the hose off. I've spent the last 30 min relentlessly trying to find a way to contact the seller and have them possibly offer a fix for this, but there's literally no links on both my order history or sellers page I can find to contact them, so no luck there. I would easily rate this 5 starts if I was able to contact the seller and they were able to offer me a fix. --[EDIT/UPDATE]-- Shortly after my writing my review and also contacting the company about the hose issue mentioned above, I received an email reply saying they're shipping me a new product. I actually didn't request a replacement thinking I'd have the same issue, but they sent one none-the-less. A few days later I then received a call from the owner himself wanting to know how the replacement was working out. I was thoroughly impressed with this and we had a great conversation. After reading my review and support call he knew exactly what the issue was and said that it was corrected with the new product shipped to me. I told him that I'd found an inexpensive fix already though by using a small 5/32" hose clamp which seemed to fix the problem. I told him that I was satisfied with the fix and would actually send him back the unopened replacement. To my surprise, he wouldn't have it; He said no customer of his was going to use his product with a workaround hose clamp fix! But he also wanted me to test the new product to see that the error was corrected, which I agreed with him. I've had the new unit installed for several days now and to my surprise it seems to be working just fine. So as promised in my initial review, they get 5 stars :) Great product and exceptional customer support. I was thoroughly impressed! Thanks Tom! --[1 Year Later]-- Before I begin, let me give a brief back story. About 5 years ago my dentist advised me to have a scaling and root plaining procedure done due to concerns of early periodontal disease (I was ~30 at the time). This is where they take a mini-ruler-type device and measure how far down it can go between your teeth and gums. At the time, most of my teeth had less than good measurements, with ~3 being high concern, so I took his advice and paid for the ~$350 procedure. About 2 years later I switched dentists, and he also noted concerns about my gums. I told him I had the procedure done a few years ago; however, he was convinced it either didn't work, the previous dentist didn't do it correctly, or I was just mistaken about what procedure I had. I have a history of sticking money into dental work that's went bad, so I wasn't interested in paying for the procedure again and declined his advice. I bought the ShowerBreeze in Dec, 2011 as a X-mas gift for my wife and I, but mostly in preparation for braces I was having installed Jan, 2012. I had a few initial issues with the product (detailed above), but received a replacement product and have not had any issues since. Fast forward 1 year: I've used the ShowerBreesze [almost] every day since and had my 6 mo. checkup about a month ago. Both the dentist and dental hygienist were simply blown away at how amazing my teeth and gums were, even more so given I have braces (apparently people with braces are highly problematic). They literally told me I had the cleanest teeth & braces they'd seen in years! The BEST part though, is ALL signs of periodontal disease were gone!!! Not only gone, but my gums actually grew back to above normal standards. I'll admit I have become obsessive with cleaning my teeth since I had braces put in, but brushing and flossing alone will not prevent or cure periodontal disease. Otherwise, the only change in my cleaning habit was using the ShowerBreeze. I've never used other water pick type cleaners before, and I'm sure other products can and do produce similar results, but I will attest that the ShowerBreeze does for sure. $30 and a year of use was more successful than all my professional periodontal work! I actually look forward to using this every day! The level/feeling of clean my teeth get from this is something you just have to try for yourself. When my wife first opened this on X-mas, she gave me kind of a look that said she'll never use it. A few weeks later she told me she tried it out, but it tickled her mouth/tongue too much and quit using it. I don't know if this is common, but it did this to me too at first. However, if you use it daily, it goes away after about 2 weeks (believe me, it's worth sticking it out!). Once that was over though, she said she too can't believe how much cleaner her mouth feels. The only drawback so far is that the only time I can really use it is in the shower. I know they make sink versions of this, but when using in the shower there's a lot of spray! A lot! Using something like this over the bathroom sink would cause almost the entire mirror and counter to become soaked in water. There's also likely to be far less pressure from a sink version too. When using the ShowerBreeze, I have the shower turned full on and the bypass valve at about 90%, so the water pressure is pretty intense. Though it works well for cleaning out all the small bits and pieces of crud that get stuck in my braces. tl;dr - Pretty sure ShowerBreeze cured my periodontal disease issues and recently gave me the best dental exam ever!

High Quality, Super EZ Install
Had a few different Shower Flossers in the past, and this one definitely has a high quality look and feel to it. The water control valve itself is well made, unlike a few other ones I had previously. Extra long hose makes using it easy and convenient. It comes with a small roll of teflon tape for installation, and a storage bar that uses suction cups to attach to the shower wall to hold the flosser when not in use. In the picture you will see another valve that I installed, to turn off the shower stream while flossing. It saves alot of water that way. Simple install, just unscrew your existing shower handle, clean the threads, wrap a few turns of the teflon tape, and hand tighten the unit on. Then reattach your shower hose. No tools needed! It works great, easily adjust the water flow to your liking, and enjoy clean teeth! My dentist could actually tell that I was using some kind of flossing device! It does the job well!

... I have used a Waterpik flosser before but didnt like the fact that nearly every Waterpik had a water ...
I purchased this product because I have used a Waterpik flosser before but didnt like the fact that nearly every Waterpik had a water supply that had to be refilled. If you like to take your time to make sure to get each tooth on both sides, the Waterpik would require refilling during one cleaning. In an effort to find an unlimited water source water flosser I came across this product, the ShowerBreeze Water Jet. Seemed promising with nearly 600 reviews and 4.5 stars some companies pay to have that type of rating. For $35 including shipping I figured, why not try it. Shipping was prompt. The box in which the Water Jet came in advertised a 30-day money-back no-hassle guarantee which was comforting. Installation was a breeze, a little plumbers tape goes a long way in preventing leaks. The Water Jet works by providing a valve (metal) to place in between the showerhead and the spigot of your shower. You can position the valve to use the Water Jet only, Showerhead only, or in between but the pressure of both will obviously be lowered. There doesnt appear to be any pressure regulating component to the Water Jet which means whatever your water pressure is, is the pressure youre going to get whether it is high or low. The unit came with a little sticky tape wall mount for the tips they provide which allows the unit to stay out of the way when not in use. The Water Jets plastic tube has a rubbery type of feel to it and is quite flexible without kinking. +++++++++++++ Main review +++++++++++++ The tips are plastic and are the main subject of this review. ShowerBreeze advises this: " Tips are designed to give a fan spray, not a needle spray, which could damage delicate gum tissue. " Being used to the "needle spray" of the Waterpik, I was fully expecting this would be different but maybe even more enjoyable to use. After flipping the valve I was put in a bit of shock. I tried to wield the thing in my mouth but this "fan" was spraying everywhere. No matter what position I put the unit in to clean my teeth I received an endless spray that was tickling the roof of my mouth. This was not the more enjoyable experience I expected. Needless to say I tried it out over a weeks time forcing myself to be nearly tickled to death in an effort to 'get used to it' to no avail. I ordered extra tips when ordering the unit and got my wife to try it. Telling her it worked wonderfully and without any other hints of how poorly this worked she used it and had the same reaction. I tried testing different tips and low and behold EVERY single one of them had a "fan spray" that was different than the other one spraying in jets in one area in front of it and not the other. This simply comes down to cheap and poor manufacturing practices and/or little to no quality checks in this product before being shipped to customers. The reason ShowerBreeze has this "fan spray" disclaimer is because of these horrible tolerances to their product. Did it clean my teeth? Hell, I dont know. As inconsistent as the sprays were coming out of tips, I would say it cleaned some areas better than others. This was definately not the 4.5 out of 5 stars product I was expecting. That 30-day guarantee came in handy and while they do say their guarantee is "no questions asked" and they did ask me why I was returning it. They had no problem taking it back and giving me my refund. I'll try to look for my unlimited water, water flosser somewhere else.

Works as advertised but could use a couple of design modifications to make it five star
I have used this product for three months now. It is a quality product made with quality parts. The diverter valve is made of plastic however so we shall see if this meets the test of time. Yes it does a great job cleaning and yes the spray is variable and strong. The following I have not seen addressed: If you divert all of the shower water through the valve effectively shutting of the shower head, and out the spray nozzle you will most likely cut your lips and gums enough to be considered injured. The valve is not a flow through value. It is a bypass valve. That means it takes the water flowing into the fixture and either diverts it to the shower head or the spray head or a combination of both. I am able to cut off all flow to the shower head easily but again this creates a water velocity that can cut paper. So you are stuck with the shower head on if it doesn't have its own valve built in. The bypass creates a pressure drop across the valve and changes the flow characteristics. If you have a shower head that restricts water flow you won't even notice. If you have a shower head that allows a high pressure wash using most of the pressure in your piping you will most definitely notice a difference. There is no mention of the pressure drop anywhere on this page. The product does what it says. I would simply change the the plastic divertor to a ball type flow through valve to reduce the pressure drop to near zero. To stop the flow through the nozzle an additional needle valve would be needed to adjust water velocity when the diverter is turned to 100% nozzle flow. Again the person buying this kit can easily compensate by purchasing separate parts at their hardware store to do what they want done. I really like the idea of using the water pick in the shower, fast and unlimited while being at the right water temperature. So I made some modifications and it does exactly what I want it to do. Other uses include finger and toe nail cleaning, cuticles, bug bite hard spray to stop itching, razor and shampoo top cleaning. You can think of many more. One other note for those not thinking about it, this device does not pulsate like a waterpik. It is a straight flow. I don't think it matters but you might want to check on why they use a pulsation. Probably isn't necessary.

Great idea and works well
I was a bit sceptical about this as I have a WaterPic which I paid a lot of money for. A few minutes work with some PFTE tape and it was plumbed in. It works very well and is superior to the WaterpPc in that it does not need electricity, nor does it have a tank that can drain. Being able to also irrigate my gums whilst having a shower is a combination that never really occurred to me, but it works and it works well.

Awesome oral cleaner
This is a fabulous piece of oral care kit at a fraction of the cost of the rechargeable/battery driven hand sets! I was amazed that even after brushing and flossing this tool still cleans out even more debris from the gum margins! Top tip though, if you have a power shower be careful how far you open up the tap as it also comes with the brutal setting which is also awesome at cleaning out the shower grouting!
