Perfect Implement for External SSD
I ordered an external SSD that came with two USB-type cables. Later suspected that I need a different cable to run the ext-SSD through a Thunderbolt 3 port. Ordered this item as an experiment and, now, success! I am now running my 2017 5400 rpm HDD iMac through the ext-SSD entirely with impressive results.

Works great, quality cable
I've only used this with a USB-C enabled external SSD drive, but with that drive I was able to get the full 10Gbps speed on the USB 3.1 Gen2 port. It also worked in a pinch to charge my 2-in-1 Dell work laptop in place of the adapter that shipped with the system.

Purchased to connect my Switch to a USB-C compatible monitor. Send signal to the monitor and charges at the same time, though the Switch uses more power faster than it can recharge. Works great if you’re looking for a compact setup!
