This product smells amazing to begin with! I initially bought this product to twist and loc my boyfriends new growth which worked as expected! I keep my hair in twist and was primarily using a twisting cream but ran out and used this product for simple twist. It kept my twist together, no rubber bands needed. It looked great and my twist were in tact for a long time. It's definitely the product if you want to turn twist into locs.

Trust my honest review. I had locks for over 10 years and I cut them off due to Aloepecia. I used Lock and Twist back then. This time around I decided to try this product. This product is the best for locks. It’s perfect. It’s not greasy. It’s not dry and it hold like no tomorrow. I honestly cannot find a fault with it. Wet hair with warm water dip two finger tips and palm roll or twist. That’s it’s. I use other products A day or two after to keep my scalp and hair.

This is the only locking wax I’ll use! Actually lasts for over a week and a little goes a long way. Plus, it actually locks the dread instead of just holding it in place. Great ingredients that help hair stay healthy too!

Update: I really like it but I found out that wax is hard to wash out over time so I decided to stop using it and I switched to the gel since it's water based. Original: My husband has coarse, curly/wavy hair. I just completed his dreads so they're immature. This product is intended more for touching up the dreads and conditioning the outside of the hair only. I don't really recommend gel for dreads but everyone's hair is different so maybe the gel would work for some. I used the firm wax for his hair and I love this product. As a licensed cosmetologist, I'm always experimenting with different styles and products. This firm wax smells great and is the perfect density. I really like the ingredients in this one.

Smells great Light on the hair, doesn't really hold unless I'm not using it correctly. Bit of product buildup but easy to wash off. Not ecstatic but somewhat happy with the product. Love the smell
