This desk is the perfect size for my work-from-home office. I wanted to be able to be able to alternate standing and sitting throughout the workday. The motor is surprisingly quiet. Many years ago when I worked in an office, I used a motorized standing desk and it was WAY louder than this model. There are three different memory slots for saving height settings. I only use two, but hey I might need a third some time in the future. The desk can be assembled with the longer piece to the left or the right to fit your room layout. I wouldn't give the clarity of the instructions an A+, there were some areas where I really had to sit down and go over things again. But I managed, so I'd say B+ for clarify of instructions. The three pieces that compose the actual desktop are quite solid and well laminated. There are quite a few points underneath the desk that everything is held together, so I have no concerns about this thing coming apart. As someone who has put together their fair share of furniture, I would say that this was not the easiest thing to assemble. There are a lot of fiddly bits. But if you are good at assembling furniture like this I don't think you'll have much problem. I was able to flip the desk to a standing position by myself, but if you have physical limitations then definitely get someone to help; it's quite heavy and sturdy. Time will tell how this desk holds up. But so far I really like how it looks and how quiet the motor is. You can spend so much money on motorized standing desks. For the price, so far I feel like this is a really good value.
