Sharp and hefty
My husband loves it. He was able to stab a 5+ pound rib roast and pick it up with the fork no problem.

Appropriate size and well made
This fork is sturdy and has sharp enough tines to do its job very well. It sits well in the hand. I would definitely buy again.

A must buy for a carving fork!
America's Test Kitchen recommended this, and boy is it worth the money! It's very well made, has a great grip, forged well with the metal it uses and has a good bit of heft to it. I looked at some others but settled on this one and haven't regretted it.

Almost perfect
Personally, I find it ridiculous that some companies charge as much as they do for carving forks. $150 for a carving fork? About the only thing crazier is that people are willing to pay that (otherwise they wouldn't charge it). It's important to have high quality knives since they are expected to keep an edge and sharpen to one day after day, year after year, but even if you used a carving fork that much, at the end of the day, it's just a fork. It's hole purpose is to hold meat still will you use a good knife! I understand that it's nice to have a carving "set" and that's why cutlery companies make such expensive forks, but the prices are still ridiculous. That's why this fork is nearly perfect for me. I received a Wusthof Grand Prix II Carving set to match my other cutlery. While I like the carving knife, the set includes a straight fork, and I wanted a curved one. They don't have a curved carving fork with this line, and there's no way I would waste my money on it even if they did (The Classic and Ikon curved carving forks are way over priced). I found this fork here on Amazon which, in addition to being reasonably priced, actually matches the Grand Prix II line visually. It was a natural decision to buy this, and I'm glad I did because it is a good, bolstered carving fork and a good value. As good as it is, it's not perfect, at least not for my needs. Despite the claim of "German Steel" it has Taiwan stamped on the metal which is a slight detractor (The description indicates this). You can't tell from the picture, but the metal medallion on the handle is only present on one side (like Wusthof's Silverpoint II line). Finally, while it /looks/ like Grand Prix II, the rubber/polypropylene handle material is noticeably different. It feels closer to Icel's Proflex or Forschner's Fibrox materials for food service knives. While there's nothing wrong with either of those, and they are certainly sanitary (this knife is NSF) it's just not the handle material that I would prefer on my home fork. For these reasons (It's just not "perfect") I am giving it only 4 1/2 stars, but all things being the same, I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

America's Test Kitchen is right!
I ordered this meat fork because America's Test Kitchen gave it their highest rating, it's NSF rated, and I was sick and tired of my old "heirloom" hand-me-down which is carbon steel, and always gets stuck in the meat. This Genesis fork is easy to use, has a really good non-slip grip (rubber) and is small enough to both allow greater control in carving as well as fit easily in my silverware drawer. I highly recommend it.

Nice Commercial-Grade Fork
The fork is well-shaped and nicely finished, and the soft-grip handle looks like it will hold up to commercial service. It's heavier than a table carving set, which lets it double at a pot fork. (I never accept incentives)

It looks and feels professional. Just the right size. The handle is very grippy. Very well made.

Mercer 6 inch carving Fork- A total winner
I love this carving fork. It is built seriously strong. I kicked out my poorly crafted Henkel to make a spot in my kitchen for this Mercer carving fork. I love the size, grip, curve, weight, and everything about this fork. You could likely pick up a 30 lb turkey with this thing if you could balance it. No flex, no bending, it is built to please, and to last. It is well worth every penny. It is worthy of a spot in a commercial kitchen and it is proudly hung up in mine ready for use. Buy right, buy once!

Excellent Quality
This is the perfect addition to my Mercer knife to create a classy and functional carving set. Most carving sets are packaged for looks or gifting. I struggled with the idea of spending so much on a fork, but I am very happy with it. It is actually hard to find a quality fork.

Well worth the money
My parents' 1948 vintage bone handled carving fork finally went to that great dinner service in the sky. Selecting one that did the job was difficult given the bewildering choice available. Following the old maxim of buy cheap and buy it twice, I went for this one. It is robust and well balanced and holds the joint in any chosen position without deviation. The drawback is that it is not dishwasher safe so whoever is in charge of washing up has to be supervised. Nevertheless, I do recommend this product. It is worth the money.
