Reliable, Quiet Performance—Not the Prettiest, But the Best for PC Builds
I’ve been building PCs for a while, gaming, content creation, and sometimes even working on tight low-profile builds. Noctua fans are always a go-to for me, and the NF-A9x14 PWM is no exception. First off, the looks: let’s be real, the classic beige-and-brown Noctua color scheme is not exactly pretty, and honestly, it never matches my cases. But honestly, you buy these for the performance, not the aesthetics. The airflow is excellent for such a slim (92x14mm) fan, and the noise levels are super low. I used this one for one of my early Ryzen builds and it held up for years, still ran like new when I finally upgraded my setup. One of the reasons I stick with Noctua is the reliability. Their quality control is top tier. This fan worked perfectly out of the box, no issues with installation, and always maintained good thermals in my system. I’ve never had a Noctua fan die on me, and their thermal paste kits are just as good, always my go-to for builds. Yes, Noctua fans cost a bit more than the cheap brands, but it’s worth it for the peace of mind. You get what you pay for: quiet operation, long lifespan, and consistently good airflow. The included 4-pin PWM connector means it’s compatible with basically any modern motherboard, and you get precise fan control in BIOS or with your favorite software. For anyone who builds their own PCs, whether you’re a gamer, a content creator, or just want a reliable and quiet fan, Noctua is a name you can trust. I’m a bit of a tech junkie, and I always find myself coming back to Noctua for any important cooling job. Overall: not the prettiest fan, but easily one of the best on the market for performance and reliability. Highly recommended for any DIY build.

Super quiet and efficient
This is a very good quality fan that has a great cooling capacity due to the rpm 1700-2200 depending on your needs. It comes with cables for different setups, and a low noise adapter. It also has a low profile design making it a perfect fit to rreplace the fan in the amateur radio G90 cooling fan base. It is very quiet and worth the price. Simple to install and runs very efficiently. Would buy again and would recommend for other uses.

I'm a Big Noctua Fan....um....Fan.
Reviewing the Noctua NF-A9x14 PWM: I bought two of these Noctua fans for my dual-zone solid state (non-refrigerant) wine chiller. The original fans that removed heat from the hot side of the Peltier modules (the solid state coolers) were very noisy. After measuring them, I realized that they were a standard size and that Noctura made fans that size. The only modification needed was drilling out the Noctura fan mounting holes to work in my wine chiller. I had always used Noctura fans when building computers and have felt they were the best and quietest computer fans out there. So, when I needed quieter fans for a wine chiller, I knew Noctura would come through for me. Their appearance is great for certain computer cases but not so important when they're hidden inside a wine chiller. They provide at least as much cooling for the Peltier modules as the original fans. In solid state wine chillers the fans tend to run almost continuously due to the relatively weak chilling ability of the Peltier modules. Keeping the air inside at 55 F when the room is 75 F can be taxing. So, having well-functioning and quiet fans for years is a must. Noctua fans are a top-shelf solution and are definitely not cheap compared to the bottom-tier choices. But in the long run, not having to tear into a computer or wine chiller sooner than expected due to a fan failure is enough of a reason for me to want to pay more. I'm a big "fan" of Noctua fans.

Quiet, Effective & Reliable
I use 2 Noctua fans in my Media PC. It's a mini ITX case, with an ATX Power Supply Unit. That leaves very little room inside for clunky coolers! The Noctua low-profile CPU cooler, uses this exact model 90mm fan. I built this PC almost 7 years ago, and have never replaced the Notua fan on the CPU cooler! I do clean my system every 6 months or so, and remove dust, but have never oiled the fan since it's install. To my amazement, it has not failed! I've turned and spun the fan by hand a few times, and it still freely flows. I also have a BeQuiet PSU, which has it's original fan. I noticed that when the room is cold, there is a very slight vibration noise from one of the fans (probably the PSU fan) which goes away after a minute or so of running. After almost 7 years, I am amazed that this slight noise is only just starting to creep in. So, I installed a Noctua 140mm fan in the PSU (since it's out of warranty now anyway) and replaced the CPU cooler fan with this Noctua 90mm fan (a like for like replacement). In my previous setup, I was not using the low-noise connector that you get in the Noctua box. However, this time I installed the low-noise connector on both the CPU fan and the PSU fan, and connected both fans directly to the Motherboard for optimum fan performance and monitoring. Without the low-noise connectors, the system was extremely quiet and never intruded on my movies or TV shows. And now with the low-noise connectors installed, the system is so quiet you cannot hear it at all! I also have a passively cooled nVidia GT1030 graphics card in the case, creating additional heat and have not noticed any problems or noise increase. Quiet - With the low-noise connector, I have to shine a flashlight into the case to see if the fans are spinning! >.< Effective - My tiny mini-ITX case remains cool and operational even after hours of use. Reliable - After almost 7 years of daily use, it's still going strong! Why did I replace it then? Simply for peace of mind. I highly recommend Noctua fans. They're definately worth the money. Additionally in the case, you get a low-noise adapter, Y-splitter cable and extention cable. There are also some low noise rubber mounts.

Quality Product and Excellent Customer Service
I bought this fan 5 years ago. It failed finally last week, but there is no doubt that this is a truly excellent product that has lived up to its name. I had turned it on 24/7 for nearly 5 years without stopping it for a single day on my PC and it has served me very faithfully and quietly, keeping the system cool at all times. When it finally failed this week, I thought I would simply buy a new one to replace it, but was surprised to see on the original box (Yes, I kept it.) stating that the warranty is 6 years. I am based in Singapore and bought this from Amazon USA, and the company is headquartered in Austria. I thought even if I had raised an RMA request, it might be too cumbersome and costly to ship the defective fan back to Noctua in Austria. Still, I tried my luck to write in. Surprisingly, within a day, I was told by a Mr. Anthony Maleschitz from the Noctua Support Team that all I need to do is to break a few blades from the defective fan to render it unusable, and send a picture of the broken fan to him as proof, and that would save me the trouble and cost of shipping back the defective fan. I did as instructed and by the next day, I was informed by Mr. Maleschitz that a replacement fan would be shipped out to me soon (In fact, it was shipped out the next day and I would expect to receive it within 4 days). It's completely hassle free and I am truly touched and impressed by his excellent customer service. I have no doubt at all to recommend this product to anyone who looks forward to buy a genuinely quiet and quality product, and above all, to patronize a company that truly values and takes great care even of a small and faraway customer like me.

Noctua fans are Silent
I was building a new SFF pc and needed a fan to exhaust air. I went with Noctua because I used them before. This fan is very silent. As I sit 10 feet away from my computer I can barely hear it running. The color might not be the best but the performance is all that matters.

Great fans for good prices
Noctua makes great fans, they last forever, and don't cost an arm and a leg. No RGB here, just pure function and cfm.

Low profile 92 x 14 mm fan
This is a nice fan with a nice assortment of extension wires for PWM. I did need to cannibalize an OmniJoin NA-JC2 from another Noctua fan set to wire a 2-pin JST connector to this fan for my project. This would have been a nice inclusion. Of course this is a PWM fan, but there are no available 3 pin versions of this low-profile fan. Overall, the fan works perfectly and as expected. Max RPM (2200 RPM) is quiet with good airflow.
