It is a well written book but is basically for people who do not know anything about stock market and are eager to learn about how a company issues shares and how are they traded on stock market. The first chapter about Capitalism is very interesting which talks about the history of it. The rest is all basics. The printing was average but still readable.

The book is a good one but having read it after reading One Up On Wall Street from the same author, I found this book somewhat less value adding than what I had expected. The book presents the history of stock market, types of companies, the different stages in its lifecycle and the heroes that helped make a company big from nowhere through numerous examples. The book is very informative and a must read but if I had to select between One Up on Wall Street and This one, I would prefer the former.

Very interesting initially, gives basic understanding of stocks. In later part, its more about American Story. Comparatively less relevance for today

Very much engrossing writing style- keep one engaged so much in reading the book that one forgets how time flies by.

for a beginner like me, this book plays its part just so perfectly. I never lost interest in the entire book even for a single word thanks to the authors hilarious sense of humour. Combining humour with knowledge and common sense this is a masterpiece which will keep educating the generations to come

Though content is readable, print quality is very poor. This book provides a brief history of capitalism and then delves into the basics of investing, more focused on share market. If you're totally unware about investing (specifically share market), go for this book because this book will give you a good foundation for further progress. But, if you're not a beginner, don't go for this book. Overall, I like this book.

Good book for beginners in investing.

masterpieces, explain well how to think and behave like an investor. The book doesn't give a lot of theories or calculations , but give you a more practical way to understand what is stock and how to works. I read twice the book. If ou are searching a book which can teach you how to preview the stock, this is not the one , and i think no one can predict it, however, this book can help you understand how to manage the risk and reduce the risk of lose.

This is a book for teenagers with no life or work experience that covers the most basic aspects of investing.
