Bought it for a succulent soil mix, turned out great, absolutely no dust, the granules were a bit chunky tbh but that will help in aeration and quick drainage, v happy w the purchase Edit- ended up purchasing 3 more bags of this, turned out great every time, would recommend blindly to anyone looking for a soil amendment for aerating and quick drainage

The product is good and chunky, but it’s quite expensive compared to locally available options of similar quality. Consider buying it only if you can’t find it at a local nursery.

I was looking for pumice from a long time for my gardening needs but never found a perfect product. Recently, I noticed this pack of pumice and after reading some nice reviews I decided to give it a chance. In my opinion pumice is a perfect ingredient for making succulents potting mix as unlike perlite it neither gets crushed nor it spills out while watering. This pumice by Casa De Amor is undoubtedly a good option for home gardeners. Best part is that all stones comes pre-sorted as per their size measuring around 8-10 mm. I bought a 2 Kg pack and got an exact quantity with negligible amount of dust in the bag. Pumice unlike perlite is a completely natural product and is used in its natural form, only process it goes through is screening, apart from screening no process is carried out to make it usable. It not only improves aeration and drainage but also contains many natural minerals that helps plants in their overall growth. Apart from using pumice as a soil amendment, it can also be used as mulch. Overall, I found this product useful and would recommend all my fellow succulent lovers who are facing issues of root rot to use pumice as a soil amendment. Before using pumice keep one thing in mind that it is not sterilized like perlite and hence need to be washed or sterilized to avoid any infection in plants. P.S. The size are quite big, Quite dusty hence have to filter the dust away or wash throughly. Product is good but as the size is quite big hence not useful for making succulent mix but makes an extremely good use for making aroid mix and orchid mix.

This is the perfect component to increase drainage in aroid mixes. I think some people may not prefer using it for cacti and succulents because the pieces are slightly larger than what you would use for those plants. However, this size is perfect for making aroid mixes for Philodendrons, Alocasias, Monsteras, Epipremnums, and other aroids/plants that need good aeration and drainage. This increases aeration in the mix by making it less compact, and it barely has any dust (if none at all) that you get in perlite (perlite dust is not safe for inhalation). Perlite is lighter and can gradually rise to the surface after every watering; this shouldn't happen with pumice. This is why pumice is better. I have lowered the rating by one star as it could be cheaper for the quantity provided.
