Works and is accurate enough
This gauge was apparently an open box return and I couldn't see any obvious evidence of that. I am using this as a transmission temp gauge on a ford C6. I installed the sensor myself, in a test port for torque converter outlet pressure, which should read the temp of the atf at it's absolute hottest before it leaves the transmission and heads to the cooler. The box contains all the butt connectors, hardware and adapters you would need for most domestic engines, i.e. they are standard npt sizes. While running, the gauge lights up nicely and is easy to read. Temp display seems accurate enough, just cruising around without much load the temp never goes past 140 f. Overall this was an easy install taking less than 45 minutes from opening the box to driving.

Easy to install
This solved a problem for me. The engine temperature gauge stopped working in my motor home. I was able to install this into the engine air intake manifold where a pipe plug had been. Works great. The reading may not be exactly accurate, but it tells me when the engine is getting hotter but not boiling over, which is all I needed to know.

Keeping a better eye
Looks great hanging from the roll cage in my truck and is 10x better than stock option.

Worked for about 2 hours then died!
Worked fine for about 2 hours, then the needle started swinging wildly for a few minutes after that nothing. Does not work. I checked senders and wiring, gauge bad. One month warranty!

Economical, Accurate Gauge
I had ordered this gauge for my 95 Explorer with 315,000 miles. Recently the gauge in the dash began acting erratic, followed by not working at all. Without the gauge, the only way to tell if it is hot is when the information center beeps and states "check engine temp." I can't stand waiting for the computer to tell me anything, so I looked for a gauge and this one fit the bill well. It is a good size and fits well on the bottom on the trim for the radio/climate control. Before installing in the vehicle, I boiled some water and wired the gauge to a lawnmower battery to check the accuracy to a thermometer that I know is accurate to within one degree. I would say that my gauge tested right on with my other gauge. I removed the old sending unit for the gauge and installed the new electrical sender into a 3/8 18npt adapter that was included with the gauge, as well as others. I have ordered new sending units for the truck to get the dash gauge to work, but there must be something bad in the wiring between the unit and the dash, so this gauge works well. The only complaint, and the reason for docking one star, is the mount. It is good, but the tab on the mount and the indent in the gauge don't lock to each other, so every now and then, I have to snug up the big plastic nut a bit. Also, I have the gauge installed upside down according to the notches, so now there is nothing holding the gauge in place other than the nut. All in all, this is a very good, and cheap gauge that looks as good as it function. And by the way, the needle on mine is red.

USE SEALANT on the sending unit threads! good gauge good price!
Seems to be pretty accurate. Installation is vey easy. You do have to purchase 18-20 gauge wire separately. I used 18 gauge. I just ran 1 wire through the firewall for the sending unit. Both grounds I ran inside the cab. The power wire I ran to the accessory fuse and for the lighting I ran the wire to lights fuse. The only problem I had was that the instructions said not to use sealant on the sending unit and adapter as to get a good ground? I thought this was kind of stupid but I stuck to the instructions. My mistake! Right away it leaked. I had to pull it out and use sealant. I have it in a 87 Iroc and the sending unit is in kind of a tough place so My advice use sealant! Other than that it works great at a good price. Of course I have only had it in now for 2 days.

Work fine
I put a 400 Polaris scrambler engine in, a Golf car. It's liquid cooled and I have a fair amount of time and money into the thing. I wanted a decent PAIR of gauges that would set my mind at ease about whats going on with the engine under my behind. It runs 50mph and dont want any surprises.. The gauges work. The Temp guage wasn't reading correctly at first. My IR gun (lazer temp) at it were not saying the same thing. So I gounded the sender wire for a split second two or three times just to get the needle to peg (make sure it even moves) and now it reads accurately. Apparently just needed to 🤔🤔 break it in I guess..
