Is this charger compatible with a HP Pavillion model #15-cs0953cl?

Here is what worked for me: Click on your computer’s Start/Window’s button; scroll down and click on Help and Support; you should see your Product No. there. Then go to HP Parts Store (parts.hp.com); enter your Product Number in the Search by model number field and click the search arrow button to begin the search. (For example, P/N DZ357U#ABA is entered as DZ357U.) From the list, click on your model number; select either 1) Batteries and Adapters in the Category search field; or 2) use the Keyword Search and enter AC Adapter. That will give you the Part Number. Then go to Amazon or another shopper site and enter the HP Part No. and you will find compatible AC Adapters.

This adapter says it is compatible with the model # on my power adapter (hstnn-la40) but doesn't list my laptop (17-ak0xx). Will the plug fit?

It’s a decent charger for the price- I guess you get what you pay for. It charges pretty well, but almost as soon as I plugged it in it got very hot. It also made my laptop really hot. I would personally go with another, wouldn’t buy again.
