Great Ukulele pickup -- KNA UP-2
Great sounding, pick-up for ukulele, great size, volume control is a plus, portable and affordable with plenty of "punch". Mounts and removes without marring or damaging instrument finish. A great accessory for anyone wanting or needing to amplify the instrument through any amp, pedal, or other filter. It will be useful on gigs and to just have fun with experimenting with electronics I use with my guitar which is now possible with my ukes and not requiring drilling holes, running wires, and tightening bolts and screws, or having to adjust bridges. Probably works well on all size ukes and other acoustic instruments. Without question -- WORTH HAVING Dr. JWG

Excellent, sweet sound.. no noise
i have a few different Pickups i use for different purposes. They are Guitar pickups that i sometimes would put on my M'Biras (Kalimba like instruments). But i always hard a little hum in the background with them.. if i tried plugging it into an amp there would be howling feedback.. i wanted to record the sound on one of my M'Biras, and the humming sound could not be removed without also removing the quality of the instrument's sound.. So i went hunting.. & then remembered i already have the KNA NG-1 Piezo Pickup on my Nylon String Guitar.. Then i saw this KNA UP-2 and thought if its as good as the one i already have.. then problem solved.. i bought it.. and it's levels above what i was using on my M'Biras before. Putting the putty on as an adhesive helps to catch the vibrations, with no hum or howling feedback.. and this KNA UP-2 also has a volume control on it.. so you can decrease or increase the volume and add gain with whatever you plug it into.. it's damn near perfect..

Piezo pickup is good, mounting pad is terrible
**Update** I dropped a star, because with all 3 of their pickups, the foam separated from the adhesive and they dropped off (3 more times since the first review). One during a performance, one while I was carrying the instrument...no idea where it came off so it is lost. Really too bad, because the pickups themselves are good. I can't believe they sell them with such horrible mounts. The pickup works well. I like the volume control. Nice that they have pickups with dark wood grain and light wood grain so that they blend in better with different instruments. The size is OK...would be nicer if thinner, but there is a need for a 1/4" jack. The biggest disappointment is the mounting. They give you putty, which is great for temporary mounting to get the right location. However, the semi-permanent mount is terrible. It is thin foam sandwiched between layers of sticky tape. The problem is that the sticky tape doesn't stick to the foam. It sticks well to the instrument and to the pickup, but easily separates from the foam, so the pickup falls off the instrument without being bumped or pulled. This has happened twice.

Works and looks great!!I
I used this KNA UP-2 pickup on a clay pot drum and it sounds incredible! I am surprised at the wide range of frequencies it is able to pick up. The volume control on the pickup is extremely handy and enables me to really dial in the sound. It adheres to the surface of the drum easily. The instructions are straight forward and easy to understand. The wood finish of the pickup is aesthetically pleasing and looks great on the my instrument. It is at a great price and I plan to buy another one.

Good enough
Price seems high for the quality. It looks decent but the control knob effect was not smooth, guessing it’s a super cheap rheostat in there.

Great pickup...but
Works great, however the volume has a tiny hum or buzzing sound unless it's on the high setting. You probably wouldn't hear it on stage, but you might hear it if you were using it to record something.....That being said, I always use it on the high setting and I use the knob to either turn the volume on or off. On the high setting it has a wonderful & clean sound. Coupled with my Fender acoustic 100 amp, it's a great combo. With all that said, I ordered a second one! Update...The cable that comes with it is 10ft not 8ft. 10 is actually better!

Waste of Money
Waste of money. Doesn’t stick or stay attached with the putty it comes with. Now, I’ve spent more money on different types of putty and nothing works. Useless.

I broke it and it still works!
I have used the KNA pickups on a couple of my ukuleles, and I really enjoy the quality that they provide, as well as the easy install. The size of a contact pick up is really important - you don’t want your hand to hit it while you’re playing, which can create a lot of unnecessary noise. The price on this item is just right, not too expensive, and definitely not a cheap flimsy item. It fits onto any acoustic instrument, though I’ve only tried it on Ukulele. It uses a contact putty, which I’ve never had an issue with, but for some reason with this one, I was having trouble getting it to stick (it’s fine now) and I pressed a little hard, and cracked the device a little bit in the process, before I had ever used it. My heart sank because I felt so stupid, and I know I love these pick ups! Upon using it, no issues! I didn’t break it nearly to the point I thought I had, and don’t have any issues plugging in the cable to use it. A great option for any acoustic instrument with no electric capability, highly recommended!

Aynı amaçla kullandığım irig acoustic stage'in yanında mukayese bile edilmez. Keşke Acoustic stage'i daha önce alsaymışım.

I did a lot of review reading on various pick-ups and decided to try this one and I am so happy that I did! Great sound and really great quality craftsmanship. I have a couple of acoustic guitars that I have never wanted to have holes drilled into or things placed into the sound holes and this pick-up totally does the trick perfectly. My acoustic guitar sounds full and the tone is really lovely.

Sounds great to my ears, and way more convenient than a sound hole pickup. I like the detachable cable. Nice wood look complements the guitar. Very happy with it.
