Rainbow Brite 12" Threaded Hair Plush Doll

My doll arrived in great condition. The box was pristine except for a small amount of creasing on the bottom and the artwork is beautiful. The doll was displayed nicely in the box. I am a nostalgia buyer and not a collector but I thought I’d mention that for those who are. I got this because I had a Rainbow Brite doll I loved very much when I was a kid. I lost mine during an out of state trip because I insisted on taking her everywhere. I never thought I would be able to get another since it was rare and difficult to find one in good condition that wasn’t expensive. This 40th anniversary rerelease is beautiful. Her face and hair color is different but adorable. The paint on her face has no defects or distortions. Additionally, the details on her dress, jumpsuit, and boots are great. I was worried that the poofy rainbow detail on the boots would not be there, but it is. The white top lining just covers most of it but the boots match the arms. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to replace the doll I lost as a kid even if it’s not a perfect recreation. The stickers were also a nice addition. Overall, i’m happy with my purchase.

Good price , for a great doll!

TLS Toys has made a lovingly crafted Rainbow Brite doll that is very similar to the original 80's soft goods doll. This new version has made some improvements in that her bangs are now cut with a peak in the center and scalloped over the eyes to make her resemble her animation and illustration design more. She is also slightly larger than the vintage doll, which was about 9-10". This one is like 13" (15" with pony tail height). TLS is also going to release 18" dolls in the future so watch for those if you want an even larger doll. As a collector, I have managed to find many of the vintage dolls that were pre-owned. With this doll, it is so wonderful to be able to be the first and only owner of this doll, brand new right out of the box! She definitely captures all the magic of the vintage doll! I highly recommend!
