Eight-year-old Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) has become the man of the house, overnight! Accidentally left behind when his family rushes off on a Christmas vacation, Kevin gets busy decorating the house for the holidays. But he's not decking the halls with tinsel and holly. Two bumbling burglars are trying to break in, and Kevin's rigging a bewildering battery of booby traps to welcome them! Review: A Timeless Holiday Classic - Home Alone is a classic and a must-watch movie. It’s funny, memorable, and never gets old no matter how many times you’ve seen it. Great humor, iconic scenes, and perfect holiday vibes make it a favorite every year. Easily one of those movies you can always come back to. Review: A Masterclass in Home Security… If the Homeowner Is 8 Years Old - Watching Home Alone again as an adult is a completely different experience. As a kid, it was a hilarious Christmas movie about a clever kid outsmarting burglars. As an adult, it’s a detailed engineering documentary about how an 8-year-old designed the most dangerous home security system ever installed. Paint cans, icy stairs, hot doorknobs—Kevin basically invented the “DIY medieval castle defense plan.” The movie is still funny, surprisingly heartwarming, and endlessly quotable. Plus, the Wet Bandits might be the most committed criminals in cinema history because they keep breaking into the same booby-trapped house like they’re chasing a high score. Recommendation: If you want a Christmas classic packed with chaos, nostalgia, and questionable child-supervised construction projects, this movie absolutely holds up. Just maybe don’t let kids take notes on the security ideas.

Who doesn't love Home Alone?
When the nieces visit at Christmas we watch it. It's classic. The kids enjoy it, I have a bit of the nostalgia associated with it. Just a fun movie.

Good movie and no issues with streaming
No issues with dreaming. I hadn’t watched this movie in years, so it was like watching it for the first time. Quite amusing

Christmas classic
Amazon reviews can be confusing, so lets start by saying this review is for Home alone Family fun edition.(one disc) I want to concentrate on the actual product and not just the film. Suffice to say this is one of the great Christmas films, up there with Its a wonderful life and 34th street. Funny, with a real warm heart. I already had the film as part of the three film 1/2/3 box set. Why upgrade?, better picture quality, dolby 5.1, (the original was just surround). Loads of extras, outtakes, making of, deleted scenes, gag reels, game. Three interesting trailers, one has a Home alone song which is not in the film and I have never heard before. Facinating interview with film composer John Williams, who brought so much to the film with his sublime music. Overall a fantastic package of a timeless movie, which you can pick up for under £1. Highly recomended.
