Vesul Tape on/Clip on Window Deflector Compatible with Subaru Outback 2015-2019 Polycarbonate Rain Guard Vent Visor Shield Cover Sun Vent Shade with 304 Stainless Steel Trim Smoke Gray

Product came very quickly, like next day quick so I was very impressed with that. I like that they sit outside of the window frame. I’ve had others that fit inside the frame but ran into trouble putting the windows up. They’d hit the guard and bounce back down. These don’t get in the way so that issue was resolved. They also stand further out from the door making it easier to clean the window behind them.What I’m not impressed with is either the adhesive used or the hooks along the top of the rain guards, as shown in the picture. I positioned the guards as instructed but the front and rear of both front door rain guards pulled away from the doors. I’d cleaned the door prior to placement so it’s not from dirt on the window frame. If they’d stuck as expected I’d be quite happy with them. I have different guards on my rear windows and given the results of these front ones, I’m leaving the rears alone for now. Again I’m not sure if it’s the adhesive or the hooks which may be pulling the guard up therefore pulling it off the lower sides.

I ordered these for my 2020 Subaru Outback, there were a few comments about the curve being off for the front windows but for the price vs the crazy dealer price ($220 in NH) I figured it was worth the money. I did not have issues with the fit on the front windows. My issue was with the rear windows. The vent is too short (front to back not height). You either have to shift it towards the front or rear of the car and then have 2" that looks weird. I choose to shift it forward to align with the front windows. Also, the adhesive does not stick well on the short edges, we will see if this peels up quickly. I would not buy this brand again.

Some of the metal clips embedded on the top of the visors (two per visor) did not allow me to slip the visor down over the existing trim completely. This put outward pressure on the bottom edge of the visor and forced the tape (the small horizontal piece) to come loose and push away from the door. The visors have remained in place. I am mostly satisfied, but am disappointed that visors sit about an eighth inch away from the body at the lowest point. Perhaps it is my fault, but I did try them first without removing the tape. Though I saw that they didn't seat perfectly, I thought the tape would hold them against the door but the pressure was too much to overcome.

I did not like the instructions at all and I am still concerned about the install. There are 2 hooks on the each of the shades. Do you remove the tape, do you leave it do you use part of it? and it says ti install with part of the 3m tape in place and then leave the rest? how do you do that. The rear windows seems a little short on the shade, about 2 inches. The front is long enough. But the adhesive that goes down the side of the door is not good and will not adhere. I hope it lasts a year, or at least one car wash.

Arrived promptly with all parts. Parts were applied on a sunny day, low humidity, minor breeze, and a temp of about 60F. Surfaces were cleaned according to the directions prior to applying. However, the trailing edge on all four doors did not seat properly; even with clamps. As if there was a minor structural change in the 2020 model(s). Been on about a week as I write this, including about 400 miles of interstate driving.

Ordered these for my 2016 Subaru Outback 3.6R. I received rain deflectors in the mail, but they weren't the ones shown in this listing. They not only did not have the steel trim to match the car, but they didn't fit at all. Not even close. The arch for the front deflectors was too steep so half of the deflector would end up being stuck to my window.

So disappointed in product would not recommend to anyone. I put them on my car per instructions to the T. The back guards and not long enough and all the base corners will not stick. This is not the first time I have put guards on cars, but again followed instructions sent. I even looked up on line instructions and videos before installed to make sure each step was followed. I also found that others have addressed the same complaint about the adhesive issues as I have. Installed July 8th and did not even drive car until 7-12-20. No wash done. What can be done about this, very dissatisfied.

I gave it 4 stars for adhesion as one of the vents didn’t want to stay in place. I know it was due to the heat. I reached out to the seller and they were extremely helpful. I am very satisfied with my purchase.
