Can I use this to seal the gaps between solid hard wood floor? How is it compared to silicone caulk?

This is really meant for exterior use in commercial or industrial applications, or residential for something you never want to deal with again. Once it dries and cures it becomes insanely hard and difficult to remove. Definitely would not recommend this for any interior applications.

How old is this product as I understand the shelf life is only 1 year?

In the past I have had tubes of this product that were 5 years old, opened and used it like new. Product retains workability for a long time and is better than silicone products for roofing issues.
