It has enabled me to bring joy to millions ...
This is simply brilliant. I use it for busking, and it's lightness and portability have freed me up to play almost anywhere I feel I won't be lynched. It is very easily erected, sturdy and comfortable. I might play in one spot for up to two hours, and I'm in my mid 60s, but I've never felt sore or uncomfortable yet. Size wise, I am 5' 10", about 10 and half stone, and I find the 45 cm height one perfect. It comes in a mesh bag and can be slung over your back, and have Walkstool will busk ... ! Be sure to get the Comfort model in whatever height you buy, for these are still made in Sweden (basic models made in China now), and the quality, strength and durability are obvious. Ok, it's a pricier option but they are so worth it.

Fantastic piece of kit especially for older people with dodgy knees
I am quite a big fellow. This stool is nothing short of impressive a fantastic piece of kit. I am not in the habit of recommending things but I wholeheartedly recommend this stool. Get your leg measurements right and you get a stool that is comfortable and makes getting up a breeze.

Sturdy and Stable
Walkstool Comfort 55mm. I bought at this time to support post-op recovery - after walking for about 20 minutes I start to feel the need to rest. I considered the height options with some care, as also the larger feet on the Comfort models when compared to Basic. This stool is rated for more than twice my weight, is comfortable to sit on and feels quite stable in use - more so than other folding stools I have used. Its portability means that I am likely to have uses for it in the long term, so good value IMHO.

Excellent stool
Absolutely a superb stool. Well made, lightweight and extremely comfortable The only reason I gave 4 stars is I’d like to carry it (attached) to my rucksack/tripod without the included bag but the legs when shortened tend to constantly creep and end up extended which you don’t want, so it looks like I’ll have to keep it in bag whilst transporting it but other than this a tremendous stool

An Investment
I purchased the Comfort55 in 2017 and I’m writing this review in 2026. Over the last 9 years I’ve almost certainly used this stool weekly, and there have been many trips when I’ve used it all day for days on end. I have lower back pain and often need to sit down mid-walk or when standing around at events so I’ve used this a lot over the last 9 years. The only issue I’ve had in all of that time was last month one of the rubber feet apparently got pulled off in a muddy field when I packed it away and I didn’t notice until it was too late to find the foot. However, Walkstool sells replacement feet on their website and I’ve just ordered a new set. While I was at it, I ordered a new seat fabric, just in case; 9 years on the fabric is still in tact. My point is that while this stool is expensive, and may even, objectively, be overpriced, the one thing I cannot argue with is the durability. It’s also very functionality and it’s great that there’s an option to get replacement parts from the manufacturer. Having had this stool for 9 years now with no need to repair anything, I think it’s likely I may have it for another 9 years now that I have (3) replacement rubber feet and a “just in case” seat fabric replacement on their way. As a larger guy, 5’11 and at times over the last 9 years I’ve weighed as much as 330lb, I have never had any concern about this stool supporting me, and comfortably at that. It’s important to remember that it’s a stool, not a chair, and that you are balanced on 3 legs. For what it is I’ve found it comfortable and sturdy and very easy to pack into a smaller day pack. Setting it up only takes me about 5-10 seconds: undo the velcro, extend each leg, and fold it out. Putting it away takes about the same amount of time, pulling the legs in, wrapping the velcro around, and then pushing the little button to allow each leg to collapse down. I guess the only question that I’m not sure how to answer is whether, 9 years later, I’d buy it again give the price it goes for now and the proliferation of packable stool options. We have a few of the circular collapsing stools that can be had for £10-£20 lb, and my wife bought a non-collapsing much weaker/cheaper tripod stool for herself from a sporting goods store. It’s hard to argue with the collapsing circular stools for the price, and they do a decent job but the seats on those are very hard, not great for extended use, and I personally don’t like carrying the heavy thick plastic circular disc around all day. I definitely prefer the Walkstool comfort and durability to other cheap tripod type stools and the collapsing circular stools. When I consider the fact that I’ve had this thing for longer than any of my cellphones, computers, or watches, and that by all indications I’ll still have it when my daughter’s graduate high school, I feel a little better about how much I spent on it. So, I guess the answer to the question of “would I buy it again” or recommend it would be - if you can afford it, and really want a long term solution for a portable stool, then I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it. It’s a fantastic stool built for comfort, durability, and built to last. However, if you’re just looking for a quick solution for a one off trip, or are unsure whether you’d get much use out of it, or if you’re the kind of person who finds it likely that you’d lose it, or honestly are feeling like you have more important things to spend your money on, then maybe look for something cheaper that still has good reviews.

Cheaper stools are available, but none as compfy as the WalkStool
After owning some cheaper alternatives, I thought I'd invest in the walkstool after after reading some positive reviews. Yes, the Walkstool seems pricey, but what you get is a well constructed, durable, compfy stool that justifies the price - and it includes a handy carry bag. With the fold up legs it's a great height (varying heights in the range available) and the seated area appears larger than previous ones I've tried which makes for easier sitting / perching and it's stable & compfy if seated for long periods. I've previously spent between £5 to £15 on fold-up stools, but have found the feet have snapped, cracked and fallen off, Or the seat area is thin, uncompfy or worse you feel the leg poles poking in your bum, or be compact other stools have been too low to the ground. I've used this stool to sit on and bbq, watch sport in a field, and even grabbed it out the back the car when there were no chairs left in a pub garden :-)

3rd time Lucky - Order through Amazon for results
The first delivery direct with an approved reseller from the company never appeared and they didn't even refund my money :( The second one sent me a delivery note but it was never delivered. - Again from a reseller. 3rd order was with Amazon and turned up the following day. The product is as described, - lightweight and comfy and sturdy for my 106 kg weight. 65cm height is perfect sitting height for 1.85m tall people and make it easy to stand with no pressure on knees when getting up. Smaller people can also sit on it but less tall people would find it easier with lower height models.

Best 3-legged stool made. Not cheap but a quality product. Instant setup and packing away. Light, strong and versatile. I even use it as a foot rest if I’ve got an even more comfy chair to sit in.
