Join author Sahara Rose on a journey to wellness and discover how to eat according to your body's specific needs. Identify your Dosha, or mind-body type, and find out what foods are best for your body. Learn how changes in season and climate affect your digestion and how to adjust what you eat accordingly. Fall in love with cooking as you explore more than 100 plant-based, gluten- and dairy-free recipes for every meal of the day, including contemporary twists on classic Ayurvedic cuisine, such as turmeric-ginger kitchari and gut-healing seaweed broth. Let it inspire you to make food choices that serve not only your body, but also your spirit." --Deepak Chopra, MD "Eat Feel Fresh provides a much-needed plant-based solution to Ayurvedic nutrition that the world has been waiting for." --Mark Hyman, MD New York Times best-selling author "Sahara Rose brings the perfect combination of intelligence and accessibility to her new book, Eat Feel Fresh. Her recipes are more than just food, they offer insight into healing and inspiration to live a healthier, fuller life." --Kino MacGregor, Ashtanga Yogi and author "Eat Feel Fresh provides a wealth of knowledge about the Ayurvedic way of cooking. This book is well organized, a treat to your eyes, and a sheer pleasure to read. Sahara Rose is a shining light who will inspire you towards a healthier and happier lifestyle." --Dr. Suhas Kshirsagar, Ayurvedic physician and author Review: Simply Ayur-mazing! - After reading Sahara's "Idiot's Guide to Ayurveda" (also highly recommend) I was thrilled to hear that she was coming out with a cookbook complete with modern-day Ayurvedic recipes. After receiving the book, I am blown away-not only by the delicious and wide array of recipes- but also by the quantity and quality of general Ayurvedic information contained, plus the pure beauty in the imagery and design. As a "millennial" concerned with both my own mind-body health, and the health of the planet, I absolutely loved the idea of Ayurveda, but was previously intimidated and overwhelmed by the prospect of a complete diet and lifestyle change. After reading "Idiot's Guide" my fears dissipated, but I was still concerned if I would be able to successfully implement the dietary changes without additional guidance, or becoming bored with my meals; enter "Eat Feel Fresh"! This book contains so many delicious and flavor-filled recipes from different ethnic regions, for all different tastes (who knew I would be able to find Thai, Italian, Southwestern, Moroccan etc. dishes in a cookbook based on an ancient Indian health system!) I am overwhelmed in the best way by all of the different sections; from dressings, sauces, and soups, to snacks, desserts and potions, this cookbook goes well beyond any I have seen of its kind. This book proved to me that there is absolutely no depriving yourself when following an Ayurvedic path, and that plant based/processed food-free dishes can taste even better than the original (as someone who is lactose intolerant, but loves cheese and sweets, I will be forever grateful!) The individual recipes themselves are both beautifully formatted (the photos alone will make me want to keep this out on my counter just to flip through) and easy to follow, and my only problem will be deciding which dish to try next! In addition to all of the amazing recipes contained in "Eat Feel Fresh" I also loved the informative pages preceding them; from the general knowledge about Ayurveda, to sections on alkalinity, and the chakras; with deep dives into each Dosha and how they change and relate to taste, I am amazed at the amount of information contained in this book. It is not simply a recipe book, it is an easy to follow guide on bettering your life as a whole, starting and ending with food, but also with so much more. I cannot thank Sahara enough for creating such a well thought-out book, and I am so excited to curl up with a Golden Mylk potion and learn more about Ayurveda! Review: finally, an updated take on Ayurvedic with emphasis on alkalinity - I'm not even sure how I came across this book because I have never heard of her but I am so glad I did. I have studied Ayurveda casually for decades and find it wonderfully adaptable and definitely life-changing, but the traditional suggestions for an Ayurvedic diet were so heavy on dairy and grains I always found that element to be out of touch. Like the author, I was once a raw vegan for a long time and it was helpful initially, since I'm a Pitta and lived in a hot dry climate, but over time it just weakened my digestion and of course, disaster ensued. I experimented a lot over the years with various ways of eating and food prep and recently realized that for my best health it's all about alkalinity and avoiding inflammation. That's honestly something everyone could benefit from but I'll stick to my own story for the sake of objectivity and authenticity. First, I am struck by how beautiful this book is. As a lifelong bibliophile I loathe paperbacks and was delighted to see this as a hardcover book and quite affordable. The pages are a heavy duty matte finish, which is lovely to the touch and will no doubt prove more durable with frequent use over time. The aesthetic value of this book cannot be overstated, either. Even the layout and presentation of the text only pages is lovely and makes it all easy to skim or flip through for specific information, though this book is a treasure trove of useful and applicable information so you'll want to read it cover to cover. The recipes are lovely and very straightforward. There is some initial investment in some things you might not have on hand (like Ashwaganda or Shatavari) but they are not expensive and can be easily obtained online or at health food stores and it is well worth the adaptation. These are meals, snacks and beverages which are meant to be pleasing to the palate, easy to create and deeply healing. I absolutely love that. As she comes from a raw food background as well, this is the first Ayurvedic book I have seen which addresses that and makes room for including that in your life. You don't have to be fully raw to benefit from those foods and you don't have to give up all raw foods to incorporate Ayurveda into your life. I personally find that during the hot summer months, including more cooling raw dishes is the perfect path to keeping my fiery, acidic Pitta constitution happy but during the cold winter months I limit uncooked foods to some fresh fruits and creative salads with healing homemade dressings. So you can see that Ayurveda is also quite intuitive and remarkably easy to adapt to your body type (dosha), climate, season, age and current state of health and this book will make it very easy for anyone, even someone totally new to Ayurveda, to flow with this ancient way of living which offers so much timeless wisdom. As a 30+ year yoga practitioner (and 13+ year teacher) who has been fascinated by Ayurveda as a sister science for a long time, I find this beautiful, lovingly-created book to be an invaluable resource. I offer my deepest gratitude to Sahara Rose for the passion and creativity she poured into this offering.

Cookbook of my wildest dreams. Healing Magic!
If I could give more than five stars I would, because this book provides the reader with so much more than delcious, inspiring recipes. The beginning is filled with teachings on ancient Ayurvedic medicine applied in a practical way to today's age. If you practice yoga, then you definitely need this book. Its a great tool to aid your healing journey and transform your yoga practice into something that extends to all aspects of your health and well-being. I felt drawn to this book because of the pretty colors and pictures as the photography is just stunning. Beyond that, the actual recipes are so easy to follow and mind-blowingly delicious. I made the sweet potato and lentil shepherds pie as my first recipe, and was amazed at how it utilized foods I already had in my kitchen, and nourished my pitta imbance by providing me something warm and grounding. I am learning so much, and can't wait to try more recipes every week. I have shown all my friends this book because I believe it has very powerful tools for healing us on a deeper level that everyone should be aware of. So thankful I found it!

This book makes Ayurvedic cooking easy ,simple to follow, delicious and yes, contemporary!
I have purchased a few Ayurvedic cookbooks, and have mixed reviews, but generally they can be rather complex from their tone to their recipes so that becomes off putting. But this book: Eat, Feel, Fresh is remarkable in its simplicity making understand of and cooking with Ayurvedic principles easy and doable. The book is well written, filled with stunning photography and serves are both a guide to Ayurveda and a cook book beginning with some useful resources including a guide to Ayurveda, a resource to discovering your Dosha which is important as each one - Vata, Pitta or Kapha, tends to tie into how and what you should eat. This is followed by a guide to how to eat the Ayurvedic way and the basics to stocking your kitchen to prepare for the recipes that follow. The recipe section is divided into 6 district chapters: Breakfast (for your Dosha), Six taste bowls. Tridoshic dinners, snacks and sides; Desserts and potions such as golden milk or green juice. I particularly love the section on the bowls as after a day at work this is an easy way to throw together a dish that is high in nutrients and quick in prep time. I also really like that fact that these serve one, as you can make as few or many as you want following the basic template. The Thai one is amazing with the warm peanut sauce and uses easy to source ingredients. I am excited to try the Tempeh Tikka next as Tikka was one of my favorite dished growing up in the UK but always with chicken, so this way I get to try a vegan version. Another stand out are the dips - how many vegan books have the same old Guac or plain hummus (which is not exactly "new" ) but this one has Tandoori Cauliflower dip, ginger edamame hummus and avocado tahini dip...excited for these new options. There are also some lovely dished that will lend well to Fall / Winter like a vegan version of Shepherds Pie; the traditional Kitchari which I have made many times but this book offers versions tailored to your Dosha with different additions such as Kale or squash; and some great soups and curries. The desserts also look amazing and different such as Chocolate Bark made with chickpeas and a version of peanut butter cups made with Chai or "Golden Mylk" . On a great note, there is not a call for crazy, complex indients - so a trip to any grocery store will do. And the recipes are easy to follow, which means I will use them time and time again as the one thing I never have enough of is time and hours in the kitchen is not for me. In short, this book makes Ayurvedic cooking easy ,simple to follow, delicious and yes, contemporary. The best Ayurvedic book I own!

The missing link I needed to start healing my imbalances!!
I was able to finished Saharaโs cookbook after having it for only for 2-days(so glad I pre-ordered). It is FANTASTIC! Thanks for making an Ayurvedic Cookbook that is modern, easy, fun, tasty, and simple to follow. I am so excited to start cooking and eating for my dosha on a regular basis. I am new to Ayurveda and stumbled upon Saharaโs podcast (The Highest-Self) and fell in love with it and Sahara. On her podcast I heard about Idiots Guide to Ayurveda and this cookbook. I strongly recommend getting and reading the Idiotโs Guide to Ayurveda which fully explained this way of life and will help you to fully appreciate this cookbook. By reading Idiots Guide to Ayurveda first it made everything in Eat Feel Fresh come together for me to be able to start healing my body of imbalances. This cookbook was the missing link I needed to help understand the food piece. In the first few seconds of opening this book, a flood of calmness and peace captured my mind. The photos and pages are BREATHTAKING and beautiful. You will definitely not be bored throughout this book. All the recipes are tridoshic making every meal okay to eat for any person. Sahara went a step forward when creating this book and added side notes to adjust the recipes to target specific dosha imbalances if one desired. Donโt shy away if any of my language or terms sound foreign to you. I had no idea what Ayurveda, dosha, tridoshic meant a month ago. The cookbook goes through an explanation so you will learn as well!!!

Some terminology skeptical... wonderful design and helpful information. Noticing benefits.
Edited to include my review after reading it cover to cover -- This is a beautiful book. The design is stunning and Saharas language is accessible and to the point. Im confused by some of the terminology that's used describing Ayruveda and food. For example. Sahara related food to having a vibrational frequency (redundant) related to bioelectricity. Not sure if she knows what bioelectricity is because it seems to not be used in the right way here. The reason I say that is because she talks about vibration related to abstract energy whereas bioelectricity isn't abstract. See photo. That's my main problem with Ayruveda is they use terms that aren't necessarily being used in the right way so not sure if it's to sound more sciency? I do like how the vibration discussion helps to give a "why" for good habits. However this easily falls into the appeal to nature logical fallacy. Doesn't mean she's wrong just means the argument isn't very good. I highly recommend this book though as it doesn't focus on calories or macros but rather whole foods. Also doesn't treat everyone the same. Some will find the repetition (i.e. so many sweet potato recipes) overwhelming or bleh but it also gives many ideas to a typically not eaten good (i.e. cauliflower). Ive been implementing some of the practices and have noticed my digestion getting better. Having first gotten it -- This book is absolutely stunning. Firm cover, thick but not too thick pages. I'm a fan of a sturdy cookbook cause this thing will get USED. Been reading through the beginning parts and I LOVE how informative yet relatable this book is. Not overwhelming with info either. I feel I can access Ayurvedic information easily through this cookbook and implement it in ways I couldn't before. So happy Sahara put her heart and soul into this - you can tell. Definitely a book I'll use for the rest of my life. Can't wait to implement more of the recipes. I've seen many shared on her IG and they look easy to make, not too complex and best of all - delicious!

This is a book of self-love!
This books is a true treasure! Sahara Roseโs essence really comes through as well as her deep selfless desire to help others. Itโs engaging because she relays things in laymanโs terms, and her personality and spirit come through with her personal journey to optimal health. I literally received it today and it is living up to all of my expectations. It will be in my purse for a while because I am now in the school of Eat Feel Fresh. I am a stage 3 cancer survivor seven years out now. I did a cleanse with holistic doctors in 2014 and they set my body on track which it had just never been at. I got off course with my eating habits and my body and soul have been calling out for me to get back on track. And the universe sends me this book, no coincidence! I literally vibe with books or not and this one from the onset was calling my name. Not only is it a beautiful work of art but the content is amazing. She breaks things down for us like the essence of Ayurveda and how it relates to yoga , how the book modernizes Ayurveda, the Doshas and how to know which one you are, alkalinity in the body and foods, the chakras, and so much more! There are even healing mantras, (my heart jumped for joy with this one)! What gets even better are the recipes! They are amazing, and encompassing of global cuisines! This is trรฉs important for me as I LOVE food and consider myself a foodie at heart! My love of eating is what got me off my course on healthy eating as I need variety and excitement for my taste buds. The ingredients are easy to find and there are plenty of tips to make things easy. Everything from sauces, pesto, desserts, drinks, soups, bowls, curries, and more. Some of the recipes that Iโm so looking forward to making: *Lebanese Lentil Bowl *Bento Box Sushi Bowl *Chakra Soups *Roasted Cauliflower and Lentil Tacos *Plant-Based Pho *Sweet Potato Lentil Shepherdโs Pie *Raw Rose and Pistachio Cheesecake Eeeek, so excited!!!! Iโm starting this Saturday with the Chai pancakes as I already have all the ingredients! This is the cookbook for these new times of higher awareness and consciousness. Getting it is definitely a step in the right direction to alignment of mind body and spirit.

Healing through Delicious Food
I am so delighted to have this book and I cannot wait to cook every single recipe in it! I first started learning about Ayurveda after stumbling across Sahara's Idiot's Guide to Ayurveda earlier this year and have really enjoyed learning about my doshas and figuring out how to balance myself through a much deeper understanding of my body and mind. I have noticed that when I try to be more aware of my doshas when eating, I feel better; and when I try to plan my day more for my doshas, my day goes smoother too! Then, enter Sahara's next book full of beautiful plant-based recipes that also sound delicious and also easy to make. Sometimes I feel frustrated with plant-based cookbooks because they make me feel like I need to run out and buy a whole bunch of ingredients that I don't normally stock in my cupboards, and changing over is just so expensive. But she uses ingredients that I already love and enjoy, plus some new fun ones for me, to make cooking for my doshas delicious, easy, and fun. I also love how she's adapted recipes and flavors from around the world. And, the whole first part of the book is about learning these new terms and applying them to how you cook (totally a Pitta cook, Pitta AF!), how you eat, and just how you live. Sahara is a wealth of knowledge and it shines through in everything she does -- her books, her podcast, and her Instagram. Although I cook for myself, I also really appreciate how she has different variations for her base recipes depending on doshas, so it's easily for families - her chai pancakes, for instance, have Vata types topping them with almond butter, fresh berries, and monk fruit maple syrup; Pitta types topping them with sliced bananas, walnuts and monk fruit maple syrup; and Kapha types toping them with pomegranate arils and cacao nibs. I haven't yet had a chance to try recipes (because I'm Pitta AF and had already meal-planned for next week by the time I got the cookbook...) but can't wait to make literally every single one and continue delving into Ayurveda. I love how it helps me understand my body more deeply and really become in tune with myself. Eating Ayurvedically is really freeing because it's about what's right for you, what works in the season, and what you need to balance you out. Love it!

Tribute to Indian Culture
It's indeed very colorful book, Such a quality pictures... But is it worth, paying such bucks. Yeap it is.... Tell u, onlookers will feel, just an another cook book, with ingredients and filtered pics of receipes,it's beyond. Iam,Dr.Siri, an Anatomy Professor, first let me congratulate this Young and Beautiful Miss,Sahara rose, for putting up her time to bring this Book. All ur efforts are worth applause. Let me share my experience.... Sinc 2years, I have been looking for piece of information from books,Google's and every other source, which upbrings my eastren culture.A true justice was given by Book "Monk who sold his Ferrari" by Robin Sharma ... Yet questions in my mind were not answered, about economic status of my country India... Iam too tiny, and my questions bnir my answers won't make any difference... Next was Indian textiles, with due efforts I could start using as much Indian fabric as I can.... Then the main ,content of this book...Food, since 3years iam on diet, refraining from carbs, sweets, amny other food stuffs...In process of loosing weight, my body had dried up,I know my mind says something not fair, inspire of loosing weight, again which is fluctuating....I know my eating habits ,needed to assessed... Gym Trainers are more business minded, they want u to loose weight at any cost and project third Gym name....They don't care, beyond that, what mind says, how u deal with constipation...Crawings...This book have healed me...I spent ample amount of time ,every week particularly week end to turn pages and try the receipes. Its will take time to understand, wether ur body is vata, pita dosha ,or agni dosha.... Recipes my body adores!
I absolutely love this book! I have ME/CFS, which has included many food related problems over the years but finally, in Ayurveda,I've found a way of eating which my body is comfortable with and even loves. I've tried a few other Ayurvedic cook books but none have inspired me like this one. Also I can feel the vibrancy of the fresh foods giving me more energy so I can cook more and more often; it's a refreshing cycle! I'm not craving carbs/sweet foods inbeteen meals like I was and as the foods travel down my digestive tract they feel silky smooth and light, even the mung bean brownies, which I ordinarily find heavy. So far I've made the Chia pudding, Sweet Potato Chickpea Burger, Spaghetti Squash with Lentil-Walnut Plantballs, Sweet Potato Lentil Shepherd's Pie, Mung Bean Brownies and I'm waiting for my Sahasrara (crown chakra) soup to be ready for my lunch. Each recipe is clearly explained and they work so if they're followed carefully even the most inexperienced of cooks should get perfect results. I've read so many reviews of other cook books where reviewers say the recipes don't work so this is a refreshing change because everything is well thought out, tested and proven. I thoughroughly enjoy perusing the pages in search of my next recipe partly due to the stunning, colourful pages and all of the interesting and useful Ayurvedic advice. I have numerous cookbooks but this is the only one I've been using regularly. I urge anyone reading to buy the book without hesitation. My soup's ready! Enjoy the book.

Beautiful Book !
I was already into Ayurveda when I discover Sahara on Instagram but I was lacking of concrete advices and receipts ideas. I decided to buy "Eat Feel Fresh" and her first book "The Idiot's Guides of Ayurveda" to dive deeper into Ayurveda. The first book is a very comprehensive book about ayurveda, doshas, food et life style - Very easy to read. Eat Feel Fresh is definitely one of my favorite cooking book. The book is SO beautiful, all the pictures and the writing are absolutely great. You really feel hungry just by looking at it. There is a good diversity of receipts and they are all very well explained according to your dosha. I haven't tried everything yet but so far the receipts tested are great and taste so good. There is also many dessert receipts, as well as soups, juices or warm drinks. This book is now my reference when I wanna cook something healthy according to my dosha. Very good investment !

Eat Feel Fresh
Interesting book to read. There is so much in plant-based ayurvedic cooking than I thought. And the recipes are amazing.
