Why did the price go up by over $150 in the past few days?

Also check google shopping, eBay, and the Asus website – same prices there too. google shopping did show one seller - Newegg has it for 25 bux cheaper. Also helps to have a price search engine app and the leading coupon apps too. What was the previous price, or the new price, that you failed to list? It can change daily. Also specify the exact model number. There are two listed on the GT-AXE16000 and 11000. I was going by the 16000.

No fan, but I put the router on a laptop cooling pad to increase airflow and decrease the temperature. You can plug most pads into the router with the supplied usb power cable. I used a cooling pad with the ax89x which has a fan and the temperature never got above a 100 degrees.

Can two asus rt-ax92u be connected to the gt-ax11000 as aimesh nodes using wireless backhaul? can one of the two 5ghz channels be set as the backhaul

Yes they can. I currently use three RT-AX92U's connected as MESH nodes to the GT-AXE11000. The Mesh nodes can be connected via wired connection with fail over to wireless or just dedicate Wireless 5G channel. They work well, allowing devices to roam around switching connection automatically for best signal.
