Premium Hard Red Winter Wheat is grown in fertilized soil in Washington. This wheat bag is triple washed, packed in plastic free jute/burlap packaging and grown in a family owned farm. The Mader family has been farming for five generations. Our agriculture spreads to the southeast of Washington and our headquarters are located in Pulman, Washington. In 2001, we had the opportunity to add a waste facility to the business of grains and lithographs. Our cleaning facility, Palouse Trading is located in Palus, Washington. It's right away from Pullman in the car. Palouse Trading was originally named Wallsgrain and Pee when first started in the 1930s. These plants are designed with quality rather than quantity, and they clean the library and grains for international markets and domestic consumption. Our food appeals to consumers because of its nutrition, aesthetics, and farm tracability. Each bag of food comes with a QR code to check the details of the food harvesting, sown days, and fields that have been cultivated. All of our products are Kosher Perb Certified, Non GMO Project Certified, and our farming law is sustainably certified by Food Alliance. Our food is different as Steve & Kevin Mader is planted and harvested, cleaned and packaged in our Washington facility. There are few companies that can track food and food details like us. Review: Purchase for milling our own flower, but also use it for sprouting to add back to the breads or toasting them as a snack. Nice natural flavor, grinds, easily, sprouted easily. Great quality. Great value Review: I use this to grow cat grass in a reused plastic bakery container with crappy dirt from my yard and I get excellent germination for very dense grass. My kitty loves it! Very happy!

I love Palouse grains for their quality, freshness, and overall flavor. I grind my own whole wheat flour, and these hard red winter wheat berries are perfect. When milled, they look as they should -- like typical brown whole wheat flour. ("Red" refers to the kind of wheat, not the actual color, even though the brown has red undertones.) As long as the hulls aren't cracked, these wheat berries will last for years. In addition to being milled for flour, these can be cooked as wheat berries and used in a variety of dishes that call for them. -- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

I have had terrible results in the past when growing wheatgrass. However, this product is awesome. In a glass jar, I soaked the seeds overnight and drained the water the next day. Rinse and drain, then I cover the bottle with a piece of paper towel tissue. After a couple of days you should see little roots begin to push out. Use starter soil and spread it out in a planter tray. Spread the seeds on top of the soil and add a light layer of soil enouch to cover the seeds. A light spray of water to dampen the soil is a quick way to get the seeds to sprout quickly. You to not have to be too heavy handed with the water. In a couple of days these seeds will sprout and you will be on your way to getting your delicious wheat grass.
