Near perfect VPN
My 2nd Mullvad VPN voucher is on its way. Purchasing via Amazon.ca is very convenient and no foreign exchange fees. Mullvad does not know who you are because you log in with only an account number. No names, no phone numbers, no email address, no payment information, nothing. All Amazon knows is you purchased a voucher and that's it, period. Mullvad VPN is easy to setup and use, even for a novice, but at the same time there are settings for the more knowledgeable users such as SOCKS, custom ports and multi-hops. Mullvad's website is very easy to navigate with a help, blog, and search sections. I especially like the "Check Connection" feature to make sure there are no WebRTC, DNS leaks and which Mullvad servers I'm connected to. For those in Canada, there are multiple servers in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary & Vancouver. Or pick one server or multi-hop in other countries in the world if you like. One outstanding feature about Mullvad servers is they are all RAM based, meaning no storage. Mullvad is based in Sweden and Sweden is part of the 14 EYES alliance but Mullvad VPN collects zero customer data, no logging, nothing, nada, zip. This was proven on April 18, 2023 when Mullvad offices was raided by Swedish police with a search warrant. End result was the police went away empty handed because Mullvad had no data to hand over. Have a nice day officers. I reviewed 16 VPN providers over several mouths. This was time consuming because it was not easy to find factual, comprehensive, verifiable and unbiased information on all 16 providers. Long story short, It came down to two providers (your wants/needs will be different). No one provider is the best be-all, end-all. For me it came down to Mullvad VPN and IVPN. I picked Mullvad because of the payment option here on Amazon as a tie breaker. YMMV.
