Smaller than I expected, but it works great. 1 batch of popcorn is enough for 2 people. Highly recommend using coconut oil in the machine for that theater taste. Was fairly simple to put together and it is not super difficult to clean.

This was a Christmas gift if I had time I would return it. It is very cheap looking. mostly plastic.. I hope it works better than it looks. It took time to put it together, but one person could easily do it.

1st off the Machine did not come with the scoop as stated on amazon. Others have stated you can contact the company and get replacement. The Machine is mostly plastic and does not seem sturdy at all. The power cord is a bit to short. The cord does not even reach on bottom of the stand. Thus meaning you need extension cord or machine has to be right next to power outlet to power it. I tough the machine being small would be good thing, less of a foot print. However it make cleaning it a pain. There is no pan underneath catch un-popped seeds thus you have to vacuumed out the remains grease bits for cleaning and that is not good for a vacuum. Wiping out the Plastic inside is a huge hassle because of it's size. There is no room to easily get a sponge and you hand between the arms that hold Cooking Bowl. You are likely to end up with a cut if you don't do it carefully and make it take more time then it should. You have to damp Cloth Rinse the inner part of the machine, then dry it. Which is a pain because it is so small for the same reason. The Cooking bowl is easy to remove, but also hard to clean. You can not get your hand in it really give it a good Cleaning. The manual warns of building of oil and causing burning orders if it is not well cleaned. But that is really hard to do. Also rinsing the bowl and wetting it make me worry about corrosion with the metal screws and other part that are not stainless steal at the top of the bowl. Also due to the size after making the 1st batch of popcorn you will likely burn your self. The Bowl take up a large about of space in the service box. Meaning there is a not a lot of space for your hand for when you go to life the lid and add oil or seed for a 2nd batch. The Manual suggest using coconut oil for the machine, but Coconut is a semi solid at room temperature. Meaning you have to scrap it out the measuring spoon to get the oil out. This will lead to burnt hand. You have to let the bowl cool off before making a 2nd batch. The Bowl/Kettle is made out of a very think stainless steel, which is a good thing, but it makes it take a long time to cool off. Meaning there will be long periods in-between making batches. Also that means you have to keep an eye on children and toddlers around the machine. They can easily reach the hot pot due to the machines size. The reason I got the machine was so I could make some popcorn for my friends and their kids when they come over for a game night, but it is to much of risk around their kids and it does not even make enough, to give everyone some. I would send this machine back for a refund, but the box was destroyed from it being water logged, the cardboard was basically mush. The machine was incased on thing foam so chance of damage from shipping seem like slim. I am going to contact the manufacture to see if they can send me a replacement box instead of a scoop. I only recommend buying this machine a decoration and not actual use.

As many people have already stated the instructions are atrocious. What I mean by this is it'll tell you to only use half the screws and then leave you guessing where the rest go. There are enough holes if you've got common sense to figure it out, but it's frustrating. I was also having issues with the box part that holds the kernals falling in the back, and the base that goes around to prop up the popping part snapped, but it still works with the parts I have left. The actual popping: it works well, the popcorn pops and I haven't had issues with burning. I will say that if you do not heat up the machine each time before starting to pop, you will NOT get any popped corn, even if you leave it on for an hour. I think this is the issue that a lot of people are having because it doesn't really say you need to heat it up in the main instructions, but in the building instructions. I think people are forgetting to preheat it and saying it doesn't work. Make sure that you buy a good oil/popcorn salt or the popcorn will be really bland. It took a while for us to find one we like, but we finally settled with the actual Nostalgia set. I think that the set is slightly too big for the machine, however, so you may have to split it up or you will end up with kernals that pop out with the corn before they get a chance to turn into popcorn themselves. Overall, it's not enough of an issue that I care, but some people might.
