Officially crowned Auntie of the Year
I bought this for my nephew and I have never seen a child lose his mind in pure joy so fast. The second he saw Buzz Lightyear, bedtime suddenly became the most exciting part of his day. He now insists I be the one to tuck him in when I visit because apparently only “Auntie Buzz” knows how to do it right. The fabric is soft, the colors are bright, and it survived its first messy juice box incident like a champ. I thought I was just buying bedding but really I bought legendary aunt status. Best money I’ve spent all year.

Even weirder in person.
The design of this blanket drew me in. And who doesn’t love Mickey? However, once it arrived…my thoughts about this blanket significantly changed. First of all, it feels like low end disney. If you know, you know. The kind of disney merchandise that feels targeted at the people that can’t afford to go to the parks where you’d buy the really nice disney souvenirs. No shade, I am one of those people. This blanket is very much giving off the vibe of “Disney had a contractional obligation to collab with a big box bargain store”. Definitely feeling like an afterthought. That being said, the design is a turn off in person. The only time this blanket is cute is right out of the bag. Once you pull it apart to use it, it is just a faceless Mickey bag and a small black throw with a random Mickey face in the middle. It’s just weird. I don’t love it.
