Fantastic alternative to Pro controller 2!
This should be a controller you consider when looking for a “pro” style controller for your switch/switch 2 ( this will also work on other devices as it uses Bluetooth and a 2.4ghz receiver)The overall fit and finish of the controller is great, no creaking or cheap feeling plastics here. The LED rings around the sticks are a nice touch and can be turned off is desired. Speaking of analog sticks these are TMR sticks so drift will not be an issue on this controller (unlike the pro controller 1/2 where they use a traditional potentiometer style sticks) these are even a step up from Hall effect sticks. The buttons are remappable which is a nice feature especially if you’re going to use the on various different platforms. The same can be said for the 2 “paddle” style buttons on the rear of the controller. As a side note if you intend on using this for the switch 2 you need to update the controllers firmware by downloading the software provided and the 8bitdo website and plugging the controller in via usb to a computer.Overall this is a fantastic alternative to the official pro contollers and one you should definitely consider when shopping around.

Perfect for PC and Switch / Switch 2
I wanted a good quality controller that I could use for both my PC and my new Switch 2.This is perfect. Great build quality, adjustable triggers for PC and Switch / Switch 2 use, great battery and an incredibly useful charging dock. Probably the best D-pad I've ever used.Ignore the negative reviews from people who haven't updated it to use with the Switch 2. It take minutes and you're away.Best controller I've owned for many, many years.

Value and quality
Superb controller for Switch 2. Very comfortable to hold, high quality build, very smooth TMR sticks which should last much longer than regular ones, good-feeling buttons, customisable triggers and backbuttons, a nice charging station which houses a USB dongle if you ever need that, some nice lighting, and all for a great price. The only downside is you can't switch the Switch 2 on using it but it's not a dealbreaker if your console is within easy reach. Highly recommended.

Good Switch 2 controller (only after updating firmware)
Controller with great with the Switch 2 and automatic connect right away without any issues. When you use the USB C dongle which is located within the charging dock or directly plugged into your PC it just right away worked and windows fine the right driver. Overall, the controller feel great in my hand and is quite comfortable. However, before using the controller you would need to update the firmware to the latest by using 8BitDo Ultimate Software V2. Update process was easy and simple.

Great controller for use with Switch and Switch 2
The only drawback is the back buttons are not recognised as GL/GR buttons as found on the Switch 2 Pro Controller. Otherwise, this controller beats that controller in every way. (Button combinations for the back buttons can be/have to be configured in the Windows application).

Great PC controller with Nintendo Switch 1/2 support
TLDR - Probably the best controller I have used that is compatible with both PC and Nintendo Switch 1/2.After my third Xbox elite series 2 failed, I decided to give this controller a try and for half the price I am so glad I did (£59.99 at the time of review).Pros -+ Thumb sticks feel just like the elite (I use the elite with the tightest setting and these feel very similar).+ 4 extra programmable buttons in convenient places (no stretching your fingers to press them).+ Battery life is great (around 15-20 hours depending on RGB usage).+ Comes with the 2.4G adapter for PC.+ Trigger stops that don't just block the trigger travel it actually turns them into 'clicky' style button triggers.+ Works on Switch 1/2 wireless with motion control (over bluetooth without a dongle).+ 3 onboard profile slots you can switch between.+ Comes with a charging dock (The 2.4G dongle is stored in the bottom of this).Con -- Thumb stick tension isn't adjustable like it is on the Xbox elite.Things worth knowing -* It is slightly smaller than the Xbox elite controller (this wasn't an issue for me but worth pointing out for those with larger hands).* You need to update the firmware using the 8BitDo Ultimate Software V2 to be able to use it on the Switch 2.* The manual on the 8bitdo website offers a lot more information than the little booklet provided in the box.
