After searching extensively for a reliable security system for my business, I finally found the perfect solution with the OOSSXX 2.7K/5MP Security Camera System. I'm particularly impressed with the night vision capability - the three infrared array LEDs provide crystal clear footage up to 65ft away, giving me peace of mind even during the darkest hours when my business is closed. Weather is never a concern with these cameras. The IP67 waterproof rating isn't just marketing - these metal cameras have withstood heavy rainstorms without any issues. I've installed them both inside and outside my business, and they perform flawlessly in all conditions. Storage capacity is outstanding with the included 2TB hard drive. I'm able to store a full 60 days of video and audio footage, which is crucial for my business security needs. Not having to purchase a separate hard drive saved me both money and setup time. The AI Human Detection feature is a game-changer. Before switching to OOSSXX, my previous system would constantly send false alerts triggered by leaves blowing or animals passing by (yep we get leaves and the ocassional animal wandering around at night. Now, I only receive notifications when actual people are detected, reducing unnecessary stress from false alarms by about 99%. What I appreciate most is the flexibility to monitor my business from anywhere. Using the free Honestview app, I seamlessly switch between viewing the feed on my phone while on the go, my desktop monitor at work, and my home computer. Installation was straightforward, and the customer support has been responsive on the few occasions I've needed assistance. I was pleasantly surprised by the value on this system. I didn't expect much but so far, the system was easy to install, configure, and navigate. The instructions that come with the system aren't great (language barrier), but simple Google searches and a little intuition provide the information needed. The software on the DVR is extremely basic, but it's really no different than any other security system I've encountered. Physically, the cameras have solid metal housing and seem very sturdy. I wish the provided Ethernet cables were a little longer than 60', but I installed couplers/extensions on the lines that were short and had no issues. I love that it's a POE system and I only had to run one wire to each camera. The videos are extremely crisp and clear and everyone that I've shown the footage to has agreed as well. I imagine it would look even better on a 4k device versus a computer monitor or phone, although these still look great. Based on my recording settings (constant time recording), I generate about 1.8GB of video per hour on each camera. This will probably fill up the 2TB hard drive in about a week and a half but the system is expandable up to a 6TB hard drive, which I will probably do in time. The motion detection seems to be very sensitive. I have the sensitivity set on the lowest setting and it still alarms when trees blow in the wind or when bugs fly at night (I do understand that this is a typical problem with IR cameras). I believe that I may have some settings incorrect so I'm not ready to fault the system yet, but I will have to continue to play with the software. One small complaint is that, when viewing the stream from the Android app (also very simple interface), you have to manually tell it to switch to an HD preview. Nothing wrong with it, but it's a little annoying. Motion notifications seem to be immediate and it's easy to review footage directly from your phone. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this system for someone looking for a great value system at a reasonable cost.

Being my first surveillance system, I wasn't sure how hard it would be to set one up. I am a technical person and while I have never completed a wiring run or run wires through walls, I can say this is the hardest part about the setup. Once you get through this step, the rest of the setup is easy. I have done much research and through my research, I have always found experts and in general, people who own a camera system, say it is better to have a wired system vs wireless. While I will not talk about all the benefits, a few are not worrying about batteries, wireless security, and it affecting your network performance. After running the cables to the this DVR, their setup was very easy and simple. Although a few of their menus to navigate around the different settings looks complicated (they have lots of features), they take you step by step to configure your cameras the way you would like. Out of all the features my favorites are being able to select which areas of the camera you would like for the camera to ignore motion and for the cameras to actually be a deterrent system. For example, if you setup a camera for your front door to record when there is motion, you can set it to ignore any motion from cars passing by (a very nice addition). Being a 4k surveillance system the picture is fantastic. The cameras are rated for 30 feet of night vision and I can certainly say they can reach that while still having clear picture. After 30 feet, it starts to get grainy but depending on how you setup your cameras another camera can compensate for that area. Overall, I can definitely recommend this system to anyone looking to setup a surveillance system for the first time or if you already have one. Setup is easy, picture is great, and can even deter a thief with a siren if it ever comes to it!
