Crystal-Clear Victory Over Weeds
โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ Crystal-Clear Victory Over WeedsSpectracide 10.8 lb Weed & Grass Killer Review โ Big Jug, Big ResultsThe Spectracide 10.8 lb weed killer concentrate is a powerhouse for clearing unwanted plants fast โ and the clear formula is a surprisingly nice bonus. No dye means no mystery blue footprints, no stained paws, and no evidence you waged war in the driveway.I used it on cracks, fence lines, stone edges, patio blocks, and random rebel weeds that popped up like they were paying rent. Results were quick โ visible wilt within 24 hours and major clearing in just a few days. This handles grass and broadleaf weeds without negotiating terms.Mixing and application were easy following the standard concentrate dilution. It sprayed cleanly, absorbed fast, and didnโt clog my garden sprayer or declare independence halfway through the job.โ Most useful for:๐ฟ Driveway and sidewalk cracks๐งฑ Patio stones and block edges๐ซ Fence line weed rebellions๐ Concentrated, long-term yard maintenance๐ Pros:โ Fast, effective weed killโ No dye = no stains, no tracksโ Large 10.8 lb supply lasts a long timeโ Mixes easily from concentrateโ Works on weeds + grassโ Rinses clean, sprayer friendlyโ Cons / Tips:โข Itโs non-selective, meaning it kills plants you want and plants you donโt โ so aim carefully like a responsible plant assassin.โข Donโt apply right before rain for best absorption.โข Wear gloves if refilling or mixing โ concentrate is concentrated, it didnโt name itself.Bottom line: If you want a fast-working, high-value, no-dye weed killer concentrate that clears areas without staining them, this one from Spectracide delivers. Itโs effective, simple to use, and built for anyone who wants weeds gone without CSI-colored evidence. Iโd absolutely buy again! ๐ฟ๐๐๐

Easy to spread and effectively kills yard weeds for up to one month (not 5 months)
I spread this using a hand-held spreader. Unlike Scots, I found it to be light weight and well separated so it did not cause the spreader to clog or to spread unevenly. The fact that it was light weight made using the hand-held spreader a breeze. I now know to prep the yard by pulling any tall weeds and mowing first. And now the yards are growing in weed free. I will say, though, that this is my third application of a weed killer. The first time I used the spray bottle (a royal pain to use, very few and very small droplets which are difficult to spread). Several weeks later, I used a Scotts turfbuilder product with weed killer and fertilizer using one of their broadcast spreader (also annoying to spread due to the product clumping, and it being difficult to see what I was putting down). I can't use that again for a month, but the weeds are back yet again. So, this time, I used the Spectracide in granule form. The grass seems to be growing in weed free. I wish that it came in bigger bags. I had to use of bag for the back yard and buy a 2nd bag for the front. I also wish that it could take out tall weeds and that it's ability to control the weeds lasted longer. I am happy to see that it does help with weeds without destroying the grass. Hopefully, we will be out of the weed growing phase here soon.

Kills the Crabgrass but seems not effective with other weeds
I used this for about 2 months and it works pretty well killing the Crabgrass but not working so well with other kinds of weeds. It also smells pretty bad. Hopefully the smell it's not harmful to human, but I can't stop thinking.

Serves it's purpose for average homeowner
This is a decent product for the average homeowner. It will prevent some weeds, it will also kill some weeds. But it won't do either nearly as good as some products dedicated to either task specifically that would require just a little more experience.I used this on my lawn in the late summer / early fall to kill try and kill some stubborn summer weeds and prevent those fall germinating ones that would pop up early the next year. First, to kill the weeds, the product has to stick to them, which meant running the sprinkler for a few min to wet the lawn before spreading. Well this of course makes the product stick to everything else while you're spreading it, shoes, pant legs, spreader wheels and body, etc. So not very easy to use in that sense. It did kill a few of the weeds over a few weeks, but there were still some left that seemed to not care. For pre-emergent control, the product then needed to be watered in (after giving time to sit on the existing weeds to kill them). Fast forward several months to the spring, it does seem like it preventing a lot of weeds, maybe 75% of what I'd seen the previous year, which is good, but not great I think. This product is also expensive. If you look at the active ingredients, you can get dedicated post-emergent weed killers with the same ingredients for less to kill what you already have much more effectively. You'll still be left with enough money to buy a good dedicated pre-emergent that will then prevent almost all of the weeds for the coming season. This product does work, but don't expect too much. If you really want weed control, do a little extra research and put in the work to get some specialized products. If you don't want to worry about that and are looking for something quick and don't care too much about total control, then try this.

Works great if you read the directions
I have a cool season lawn made up of primarily Kentucky Bluegrass and fescue. I have used this product several times with great results. It does not harm my lawn and definitely keeps the weeds in check. You must apply the product according to the directions. It is not effective on dry grass and must not be "watered in" like a fertilizer. You should only apply it to wet grass and avoid watering/rainfall in the following 24 hours.
