I had been using it regularly and noticed the pump wasn’t dispensing well, so I decided to open the bottle. To my surprise, I found what appears to be mold growing inside the bottle and on the pump tube. This is a serious health concern, especially since I had already been consuming it. What also concerns me is that the bottle is clearly marked “Not for Individual Sale,” which makes me question why it is being sold individually on Amazon in the first place. After this happened, I read the reviews and realized I’m not the only customer who has experienced this issue. I wish I had looked at them before purchasing. I cannot recommend this product. If your pump starts working poorly, open the bottle and inspect it before continuing to use it. This is completely unacceptable for a food product and needs to be addressed immediately. ⸻ One suggestion: since you can’t be 100% certain from the photos alone that the gray/white material is mold (it could theoretically be contamination or another residue), wording it as “what appears to be mold” makes your review both accurate and more credible. The photos you included are definitely concerning and support your experience.

I purchase this sauce because I feel like the flavor is so much better than any other I have found and I can duplicate my Starbucks drink at home with my espresso maker. However, I typically leave it sitting out and one particularly warm and humid summer I found mold growing inside the container (as others have mentioned). For the price, I certainly want to use every drop but I also do not want to risk it being bad so I purchased 4 of these OSO squeeze bottles and I put three in the fridge and leave one out - the lid seals totally so I feel like it is less likely to mold. I have reused these multiple times - they clean VERY easily and are easy to open and close - keeping my chocolate safe and fresh. If you live where you have humid hot days, you might consider doing this as well. Enjoy!
