How big is 12.5oz jars

I'd say each jar is roughly about as big as a mug. The official measurements are 3 1/2 inches tall by 3 3/4 inches in diameter. I use these jars to keep my cinnamon sticks, bay leaves, and green cardamom. I have the smaller 4-oz versions of these jars which I use for my powdered spices.

The product dimensions say these are 4.8 inches tall. Everyone else says they're 3.5 inches tall. How tall are these to the top of the lid?

Mine seem to be a bit over 3.5 inches

Can these be used for candles

I am sure they could be. They are similar to the jars that you can buy with the candles already in them.

What is size of these jars? Listing says 11.94 x 4.57 x 8 inches but that is way larger than the stated 12.5 ounce volume.

2.75 x 2.625 inches, each 4.5 oz capacity. Ours sit nicely in an average size drawer you might find utensils in. Easily clears height-wise. We have had these for 6 years and they are still working great to this day. Hope that helps!
