The media could not be loaded.  The Grim Reaper is a classic and this one is even better because of the glowing eyes. It’s a steal for under $25. The costume comes with the robe, hood, gloves and belt as well as the glowing red eyes. The eyes set the costume apart from a standard reaper costume. The eyes are afixed to glasses which are plastic frames and have an electric cord which runs from the glasses to a smal control box. The control box is a little clunky and oversized in my opinion for what it is but will still fit in your chil’d pocket of his/her pants or shorts worn under the costume. It takes 3 double A batteries and has a simple on/off slide switch. There are no settings to control the glow of the eyes, they simply fade on and off which gives a pretty cool and spooky effect. The hood has a black mesh screen which can actually be removed if your child doesn’t want to use the red eyes or has a difficult time seeing which I think was insightful of the manufacturer. This costume is like many others and made of inexpensive materials so it isn’t intended to last more than one season. Lastly, on fitting, my son is 5 and is slightly taller than avg and the small fits perfectly with no fabric dragging the ground. You can see his feet when he wears it so if you’re hoping to cover them then get one size up. For me, I like the idea of not dragging the bottom of the robe and avoiding the tripping hazard. This costume is really a fantastic deal and super cool looking. The kiddo is in love with how he looks in it. Hope this helped! Happy Halloween!

The material is definitely not worth the price paid. I found it waay cheaper at a local store but the size was too big. I only bought because I needed a smaller size than the one in the store

Ordered a small for my 7 year old that wanted to be a reaper for Halloween. Costume is as described. Material is thin and will not keep you warm, but most don't order a costume for warmth. As some stated the glasses look like they would easily break, but I haven't had any problems yet. I agree with other reviews that a pocket for the battery pack would be a nice addition so you don't have to figure out what to do with it. Note that the eyes do flash slowly on and off. They appear to be designed that way. I wish they stayed on all the time which is why I gave it 4 stars. Came with the robe, hood, gloves, glasses and belt. Scythe is not included.

First product review ever - super adorable! I bought it for a small-ish 8 year old boy. It has a robe and matching gloves. The costume also includes a hood that has a layer of fabric on the front so the kid can see out but we can see his/her face. Finally it has battery powered "eyeballs" to put under the cloth. (Essentially glasses, with red circles bottom center of where the lends would be. It doesn't obstruct vision. The material is polyester, which works well in a drapy material and looks like it'll stand up to multiple Halloween parties and other dress up. Of course, we got a scythe to go with it. Worth what we paid.

I bought this because my 6 year old wanted it for Halloween. He's small for his age, but the costume itself did fit just fine (I ordered a small). My only problem was the glasses. They are very front heavy, so I had to attach a rubber band to the two ends of the glasses so that the rubber band went behind his head so the glasses wouldn't fall off (I had to make them into goggles instead of sunglasses). Also, I had to tape down some wires to the glasses because some small wires were sticking up in front of his eyes. There was also not a place to hold the switch to the glasses, so I had to tie it in with the belt. My son loved the costume though, and the eyes were pretty creepy.

Bought for my 7 year old who is on the smaller end for his age and the small size fit just right. It doesn't hit the floor, but it's not too high that it looks goofy. He has loved scarier costumes over the standard super hero or more novelty types since he was little, so I always have to search out scary costumes in smaller sizes, or modify larger costumes to fit him. We all love how creepy it is, especially when the eyes fade out. The mask is very black so you cannot see his face, only the light up eyes. I got him a sithe on Amazon, and my only minor complaint is that the gloves are short, so when he holds the sithe upright,the sleeves slide down and show his arms. Definitely going to be a hit on Halloween.

I got this for my son for Halloween and my son loved it. He did say that it was hard to see through it at least at night so he ended taking mask off. A few days later we tried it on again and the eyes would not light up anymore. It was a costume so I did not expect much from it but was dissapointed of quality. However it did look really cool.

Very cute costume. Very very thin so I'll have to make sure to dress him warm underneath. The light up eyes only worked for a second, but that's not a real big deal unless your buying the costume for that reason then I wouldn't purchase. Probably won't last long but I'm only planning on him wearing it to trick or treat then I'm sure it'll be forgotten

This arrived quickly and my son loved it. It is a truly scary costume. Great costume. It wasn’t good if there were little kids around because it really scared them. Also he had to be gentle with the glasses because they are a bit breakable.
