Marantz MM 7055 Amplifier

This amp was purchased to power my front, center and surround speakers bypassing the Denon XH3700 receiver internal amp. The internal amps are used to power surround back and 4 ceiling speakers. I was really amazed by the immediate improvements in sound. Voice was a lot cleaner, especially the center channel and the movies are a lot more immersive. Just remember to re calibration of the system using Audyssy EQ wizard. It is much better than to upgrade the receiver. I think I would have to pay at least 4000 dollars and up to get the power and performance of adding these amps. The vast improvement in sound were really unexpected.

Nach dem Ableben meiner Endstufe mußte ein preiswerter Ersatz her. Da paßte es genau daß Marantz den MM 7055, der seinerzeit mit der Vorstufe AV 7005 auf den Markt kam, noch herstellt. Diese Endstufe brachte meine Anlage auf ein deutlich höheres Level.

In conjunction with my Marantz 8805A and a seven-channel amplifier, Marantz 8077, I have completed my 7.2.4 audio system with this Marantz 7055 five-channel amplifier. The combination of these amplifiers provides an immersive and exceptional sound experience. Subsequently, I made the decision to invest in a separate processor and amplifiers. After upgrading two receivers, I opted for this third time to eliminate the receiver and purchase a standalone processor the 8805A. This choice surpassed my expectations, and the sound quality during video movie playback is truly remarkable. This investment in my audio system will provide long-term enjoyment, as it now accommodates the possibility of adding additional speakers in the future. With 11 speakers in total I think I’m good for a long while. I can’t believe I’ve come so far from a small 5.1 Dolby digital system 20 years ago, that’s when I got bitten, to this massive 7.2.4 system that I have today.. yes, I’ve come along way and what an enjoyable journey it was. I’ve learned so much.

first off I'm a DJ I work with audio and video for over 20 years me and my family have always enjoyed Marantz products I grew up in the seventies my dad had a Marantz stereo in the mid-90s I bought an Marantz Sr 18 it sounded beautiful I even had the Marantz monoblock amplifiers Ma 700 now let's get started with my review it's probably going to be long the boxes that came in were inadequate for shipping there was a hole in one of the boxes and a scratch on the face plate that didn't bother me it's a very small scratch I bought two of these and I'm using all 10 channels after I got everything plugged in I thought this doesn't sound good I was using cheap XLR cable so I bought XLR cable which cost me almost $500 it's still did not sound as good as I thought it should then I bought 10 gauge speaker wire it's still didn't sound the way I thought it should at this point I'm thinking there must be something wrong with the electrical in my house so I bought a emotiva line conditioner and guess what it's still sounds cheap and distorted let me put it to you this way I have cheap Pyle Pro amplifiers that sound exactly the same as this Marantz amplifier I would like to return them but Amazon said it's over the 30-days I want to be clear I am not upset that I spent over $2,000 on these amplifiers I'm upset that I spent over $2,000 on amplifiers that sound like cheap garbage
